    Crippled Meerschaum-

Don't you hate people touching your stuff. One of my Zippo's got lost by someone cleaning. Everyone just insisted it was 'just a lighter'. I was gonna direct you to the same aforementioned website, too

General Consensus and Cigars and Pipes

I'm pretty sure the triangle is far more complex. What with have three sides and all  Kidding of course, you got it dead on. I always tell people how there's thousands of blends as it is, and even those can be changed. Different tobacco cuts for different shape/ size bowls ect

    TRUE GRIT Matt Damon

I didn't know if it was a meer or not. The knob at the bottom of the bowl seems more in line with a clay pipe.

    knives

At my work we can only use the store's 'certified saftey knives'. Which have about a 1/8" blade and can't stay open. Use of other knives will result in termination. Luckily my supervisor doesn't care and once the store closes and we're there alone him and I both use our normal knives for our...

Help with a WDC Wellington pipe

Thanks Krusty. I found some of that info. But with the hallmarks, while they may me faux, I saw a number of other Wellington pipes with different ones, so while it may not be silver on the band (I know it's not unless someone has just been cleaning the band xD) it still may give me a date...

Help with a WDC Wellington pipe

As a Christmas present, I got some pipe racks and a box of estate pipes. Bulk were Dr. Grabows and Medicos from the '60s. There was a nice one I cleaned up, then I started on a full-bend WDC Wellington. On the metal band is the inverted triangle with WDC in it, and then the symbols (in order)...

    knives

I have many. I normally carry my Kershaw black Storm, though. Got it from a friend who lost it, bought another, then found the first. I think it's completely reasonable to carry a pocket knife.

Just had a Peterson Samhain filled with Sutliff's Great Ourdoors

    Burnout

Yeah, if someone made a pipe and said, "Hey, this will probably burn out" I'd smoke it, burn it out and then keep it to say, "I burned this out." Course it'd have to be a pipe I'd smoke to begin with.

    Burnout

At the B&M I go to, the owner was a showing me boxes of the estate pipes that come in, some had massive burn outs like this. It seemed, they burned out in the side, leaving a divit, and the owner just really didnt care. Eventually it burns a small hole just to the other side. Aaaand pretty...

    Peterson pipes

Is it just me (of my Petes) or do Petes get cake more slowly that other pipes.

    What are you smoking?

Just had a bowl of something... not sure what it was. Whatever I put in my jar on my pipestand so long ago. It might have been G.L. Pease Blackpoint or Odyssey. I think it was Blackpoint. Smoked it out of my Peterson Samhain 87.

    Burnout

    Hardly noticeable, really.

Sent a pipe in for repair.... kind of.

The guy makes pipes, and understands what I want, so it's all good.

Sent a pipe in for repair.... kind of.

I was smoking at night one time and dropped my pipe. It was fine when I picked it up though. Then when I was done I threw it in my pocket with what ever else was in there. Then I got to thinking. This pipe takes a lot of abuse, and it's my Peterson Malahide I picked up when I was in Ireland...
