    Requesting a review??

Excellent news. Once my impulse urge returns after shelling out oodles of cash for a new guitar, amp and accessories, I will no doubt swing by Synjeco yet again. Chances are that I will be in luck and be able to order some GLP blends to sample.

    Requesting a review??

I have yet to try one of Gregory's blends, so I will leave that one up to others. The only place I can get GLP blends from (that won't suck me dry with customs fees and ridiculous taxes) is Synjeco, and it seems like their stock is .. well not very steady. I'm an impulse buyer, so when I have...

Finally...the news media got it right!

Those guys always have a barrel of laughs ready for anyone who dare visit their site. I've read The Onion literally since their early days, and I am amazed they have been able to keep steaming ahead for all these years. Definitely worth checking out on a regular basis.

    Requesting a review??

A rusticated poker would indeed have been my guess as to what pipe it was :) He is crazy about those things these days. I trust you had a good time in Denmark.

    Requesting a review??

Which is why I am hesitant of giving a lengthy review. It may or may not be an entertaining read, but it will never truly convey the smoking experience that the reader will have. He or she will experience something different. The nose will be different, the tastebuds, the packing, the pipe, the...

    We Should Start a US/European Tobacco Exchange>>>

As far as I know, you guys won't have any problems regarding customs. It's on this end there might be a problem.

    Requesting a review??

I have tried a lot of VA flakes and I honestly can't think of any that even comes close, to be perfectly honest. The bright VAs I've tried have either been more honey-like or hay-like. The citrusy hint you find in OGS I haven't found anywhere else.

    Hey

What a nice way to clue us all in. Welcome Mike. I will be looking forward to reading your posts. ~105 lbs .. holy smokes (pun intended) .. I'm about 80 lbs behind. Kudos.

    We Should Start a US/European Tobacco Exchange>>>

Let me know what you need... An annual exchange might not be enough for some, but I am certainly willing to help out as long as we do a value based exchange rather than volume based (taxes over here are not exactly for the faint of heart). It's almost like Canada.

    Requesting a review??

I could make a long winded review of my number 1 tobacco of all time, Orlik Golden Sliced, but it would just be fandom speaking for me. I would much rather just say this: If you like VAs .. If you like bright VAs .. If you like top quality leaf .. If you like flakes .. Try Orlik Golden Sliced...

Absolutely, Dock. I always enjoy checking out new "outlets" in the community. The level of camaraderie will decide if I stay around. So far so good, though :)

So what kind of pipe guy are you?

The bulk of my collection is estate Stanwells. Much of the rest in my collection is also Danish: Refbjerg, Nording, W O Larsen, Bentley (Former), Kriswill, Karl Erik and Danbark. I have a bunch of Savinellis and Petersons as well, but they don't get nearly the same amount of attention as my...

    System pipes

Of course you can repair a loose fit by heating up the tenon with a lighter and knocking the end on a table, but why even go there ...

Christmas Pipe Special at Gray Fox

Tempting, but I just spent all my hard earned money on a new guitar - but hey, there's another bangup sale just around the corner. There always is :)

    As it is traditional...

Smoking bans are in full effect, so as far as I know you can't really smoke anywhere but on the street and at home. I'm not 100% sure, though. I moved here from Denmark 3 years ago - a country which is now also banning smoking all over the place. The smoking bans are the result of EU...

Can't really think of a title

I find myself nodding to a lot of what LL is saying (despite the pounding headache I have right now). Many parts of the pipe community (as with any community) has gone sour (specifics intentionally left out), and it's a damn shame. It doesn't take much to make a place unbearable, but it takes a...
