Thought you were in Syracuse this weekend Sean, if you're in the area get your arse over to the FCI. Lots and I mean lots of samples to dive into. PB, my hat is off to you for starting this pass and allowing me the opportunity to participate. I could not believe the weight of the box and more importantly the contents. Not sure about final takes but I can promise that the GLP Odyssey will not be leaving Danbury, CT. I dove into the samples head 1st this afternoon and evening. So far I tried:

McC CC '05 in the Tim Hynick Dublin
Uhlee's White Burley in a Stanwell 245
GLP Westminster in a M. Brissett Rhodesian

Well I spent the majority of yesterday with the samples and have pretty much made it my mission to try all the Uhle's blends in the box before I give it to DP this week. Yesterday I smoked the Perfection Plug Burley and really enjoyed it. I could see myself really loving it if I mixed in some 5100 for a hint of sweetness. I smoked some more of the CC '05 this morning before I left for work and really like that issue (just proves to me that I have to sit on my 10 tins of this year's CC for at least a few years).

Loved the White Burley, was actually the 2nd one I tried when the box arrived Sat afternoon.

The box is moving! I'll be handing it off to DoverPipes tomorrow afternoon. This has been a great experince for me and I'm humbled to have been a part of it.
I had wanted to try some of the Haunted Bookshop but never found it among the samples, oh well. Out of the box I ended up trying the Uhle's 300, White Burly and Coniston Plug. I sampled some of the GLP Westminster and liked it so much that I took and oz. I also had about 3 pipes of the McC '05 CC as well as some of the C&D Otrthodoxy.

Guys I've got to say that there is def a bonus to having the ability to actually hand the box off. Dover's face pretty much :affraid: when he actually saw it and got to pry around a bit while we smoked a few pipes and shot the shit on Saturday. His face was priceless...really glad I was able to see it, jsut sad I din't have a camera ready to capture the moment and share.
