Seriously though..... And this is just my thoughts on the matter....

If everyone smokes a couple ounces of samples and puts in a couple ounces of samples, the samples will stay fresher.. They should change drastically from passer to passer.

If everyone Puts the same amount they Take from the tins the box won't grow to the point that its a burden to anyone...

Going through everthing now and having a very difficult time trying to make decisions other than the Plumb Pudding will not be in the box once it leaves Apex, NC! :D I will attempt to get the barge on it's way tomrrow or Saturday. I was traveling yesterday and I was attending the Tea Party most of this evening. I am just now getting a chance to go through it. Awesome!

Tried my first sample today, though the tin was full the seal was broken and looked to have been opened, anyway, it was Treasures of Ireland Galway Black and Bright. Very good and I plan to trade it out for a sealed tin since it was full. Nice light flavorful smoke indeed!

Yeah that was a sampler... It should have been bagged....

I should have labeled them I guess...

But feel free to swap it out.

Folks, I am making not apologies, I didn't send the package out today. For the first time I am utilizing the alloted time and savoring the sampling. I have been alternating between "White Burley" Haunted Book Shop. Would someone please tell me the orgins of The sample bag labeled "White Burley"?

I know that Haunted Book Shop is a C&D blend that is available. Very good I might add, but I have got to be able to acquire some of this "White Burley" as it is OUTSTANDING! Please help me out here!

Looks like it may have been one of jeremy's adds. Never heard of Winther and I couldn't find any reference to it on TR.

Sorry guys ! Had a late night at work yesterday and was unable to get to a computer. I did ship it yesterday, # 0308 0660 0001 5510 3217. Postman says Ed should get it tomorrow. As for puts and takes, I sampled alot out of the box. I added some McC 2045 with about 6 or 7 yrs on it, some Greenfield and Winther White Burley that I found at an antique store. This stuff came out of an old cutter top tin unsure about the age, but I think it's some good stuff full of big ole crystals that are sweet as sugar. I also added part of a tin of Merde de Cheval. I traded a tin of Balkan Sasieni for a tin of SG Balkan Flake.

Yo jp, A while ago I rec'vd some white Burley from Grant Gimper, Ken
Thanks Ken! I will ask Grant about it. If I had a clue I would have asked him at the TAPS Show! I could see that being a good excuse to run down East! Grant lives here in NC just east of me.

Ok! I'm done!

This is one of the first passes that I actually took the time to enjoy to the fullest measure, although I did get hung up on a couple of blends and still didn't get to go through as much as I would have liked. Some of that was due to traveling and other commitments. Ayway.................

What I sampled:
Treasures of Ireland Galway - A very nice blend indeed that I just might have to acquire more of.
Merde de Chevel - Not bad for horse manure!
"White Burley"? - This is were I got hung up. This stuff is awesome! Please, whom ever put this sample bag in, tell me where I can get more of it!
C&D Haunted Book Shop - Another great one! I smoked a couple of bowls of it. It is definitely one of C&D's better bulk offerings.

Takes:
Sealed 2 oz. tin - Seatle Pipe Club's Plumb Pudding
Sealed 2 oz. tin - Organic Pipe Dreams

Puts:
Sealed 2 oz. tin - GLP Maltese Falcon
Sealed 2 oz. tin - C&D Exhausted Rooster

Puts for Sampling, 2-3 oz. each of:
John Middleton Carter Hall
Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky
C&D Barrister
Uhle's Blend #300
Sir Walter Raleigh

Thanks so much PB for organizing and keeping the Spring Forward Pass going. And Thanks to everyone for allowing me to participate!

I will post the shipping confirmation number tomorrow.

Great pass, JP!! I wish I could have participated in this year's pass, but, alas, (!?) I just have too much on my plate right now, what with a new baby, job, et all. However, I have been following this thread and living vicariously. I had a blast last year and it looks like this year's pass is just as awesome. Have fun everybody, and kudos to PB for organizing this year's pass!!

Awesome JP. Can't wait to try the Uhle's and Orlik samples. :D :bounce:

I'm hopping there is some of the '05 CC left by the time it gets to the northeast.

I've been reading & re-reading JP's puts and I don't see one shred of the dreaded Walnut. Everyone downstream can now sigh in relief, as that stuff would taint the whole box.

Ed filled 'er up with the big W when he had it, so I can only assume that particularly notorious weedage is still in there.

I'll leave it be unless there appears to be enough to go around, so unless pipetounge smokes it all there should be some left when it gets to you :D
