Smart phone? No. (I have one but I don't like it.) Flip/candy bar phone? Yes. I plan to go back to one. (I've even thought about getting a rotary dial desk or wall phone and an answering machine but I'd hate to give up the mobility the cell phone gives me.)
Social networking? No, unless you consider this website and youtube to be social networking.
Computer gaming? Not really. I play correspondence chess on a server instead of using the postal service.
Pistol? No. Revolver? Yes.
9mm or 357 magnum? No. .38 Special? Yes. (It was good enough for law enforcement for half a century so it's still good enough for me.)
Email? Yes, occasionally but only when necessary. I don't like email and have thought about dropping my account. (I have several typewriters and I've used them to send letters/postcards even recently.)
E-reader? No, although I'm pondering it. My first Kindle Paperwhite didn't click with me. Books? Always!
I've been working professionally with computers since the 1970's. I've seen a LOT of changes, not all of them for the better. Have I become a dinosaur or am I just not caught up in all of the high tech hype? Most of the things that referred to as 'high tech' are just more ways for advertisers to get their rubbish in front of more people.
Just some thoughts for a Sunday morning. What do you think?
