Recieved an e-mail today from Tobacco Pipes that they are suspending international shipping. I can only think this is another step towards downsizing or discontinuing their business. It may leave SP with a monopoly for international sales.
Thanks Timbo, I'll have to check them out.As far as I know 4noggins still ships internationally too. Only one who'll ship to Aus, SP refuse to.
Haven't placed an order for a while as I don't need the strife if customs see it.
I have suspicions of it, considering they are not restocking many items and their online selections are more and more "sold out". To that end, I have seen no official release of any sort that indicated so. The writing on the wall is becoming more and more ominous. There is a possibility that their international service to Canada would be temporarily shut down with the national mail strike but there was no mention of that in the e-mail I received, only that international orders were being discontinued. Canada certainly isn't the only place they were mailing orders but I do not know where else they may have provided mail order service. The UK? Australia? Europe? Any insight would be welcome. I'm afraid perusing a 20 page battle of egos from Pipesmagazine Forum doesn't appeal to me. The arrogance and gossip on that sight led to my departure. I am under no illusions that their regulators were glad to see me go, not to mention the magazine owner.I think...I THINK...someone asks about TP in that link I posted, and they said TP is being shut down in 2025. Don't hold me to that, but I think someone asked that in that 20+ page thread.
