You guys drink regular coffee?
Oh my, that's so 1900's!

Your probably going to say you don't have piercings in unexpected places next... Curmudgeons!!!!!!!

The truth is I get so tired of walking into a coffee shop and trying to explain what goes into a large black coffee..
After 2-3 wasted minutes I get a funny look and the 'customer service associate' yells to the 'barristar' that the old guy wants a Grande such and such or whatever he calls it... What is wrong with this world when I can't pronounce 3/4 of a coffee 'menu', much less have any idea what any of it is.. I know I've not went ********, at least I don't think I have...I guess I woke up the other day as an old man...

i do enjoy my medium caramel macchiato from time to time but give me a large double-double from Tim Hortons any day of the week!

A hearty "welcome" is extended sir.

Barista, noun. A person who works at the counter of a coffee shop; a coffee bar server

Example: He plans to become a barista at Starbucks.

1982; Italian; bar+ -ista
Plural: baristi

It's really not any different from words like maître d' or sommelier, or indeed menu which we've been using for four hundred years.

As a Foreign language literature teacher, you will not be surprised that I feel the study of foreign languages should have a much greater place in our system of education, such as it is.

The Round Table
A Place To Discuss Anything You Wish As Long As It's Respectful Of Others
Don't be a **** yourself.
I think he's got ye there P_B.

Go easy on him Eulenburg, he's a bit rough around the edges at first, but he usually warms up too you after awhile.

Obviously the Foriegn Language Teacher had a moment of self examination and realized he may have been acting as a bit pompous... Otherwise he wouldn't have assumed the comment was directed at him...
Even though it was.

He does however have a point about the 'respect thing'... I'd suggest in the future pointing out rules violations to the Mod team as opposed to breaking the rules yourself... Kinda puts you in a bad spot for complaining when you yourself break the respect rule while showing a brother the error in his ways... :D

Ok, I reported my rules violation to my favorite member of the Mod Team...

I promptly told myself not to call anyone else a **** regardless of how much they were acting like one...

I also banned myself from looking at the pics in the PAD&TAD section for 1 week... No more lusting after new pipes... That'll teach me!

PB thank you for acknowledging the error of you ways publicly, you have now graduated to being a richard :p

Hold on, let me take this out.....

Okay, here it is:

:lol!: :lol!: :lol!:

I like Chock Full O' Nuts Original and Kroger Value Italian Blend. I find I have to make coffee myself if I want it strong enough.

I could make the point that there's absolutely no sense coming into a light hearted coffee conversation acting like the genius professor among the lowly moronic students.... That most normal people don't appreciate the condescending attitude.. etc etc etc,,, its just easier to say don't be a ****...

And Dillon, you best just go back to being a weenie in the RR where its tolerated... I've already banned me from the good stuff... don't make me add you to the list. :p :p :p

Whatever's cheapest! I sure ain't savin' any money on tobacco. Might as well pinch pennies on coffee haha.

Hello brothers,

I'm writing you from Amsterdam and i must say the "coffee shops" over here are just terrific. Now at 2 euros a coffee it seems like a rip off but the establishments have killer prices on other various commodities. :pipe: :drunken:

LOL....

I go to a coffee shop to relieve myself of red watery eyes... Tweed goes to them to get red watery eyes..... Lol.

Enjoy!

But since you brought it up, how much are Cheetos? And do they show cartoons in the coffee shops? :D :D :D

Cheetos or cheese crisps will run you 1.50 euro but i highly recommend the fries with mayo to cleanse the pallet.

Also to answer your second query yes some shops do show cartoons but they are all in dutch. However this does not diminish their quality or the fact that they are all hilarious.
