I have a straight billiard from the 1986 Dunhill lot that I bought new. The aluminum stem band seems unique to that year. It's a terrific smoker in spite of being a filter pipe. I always perk up when I see one of those models because it was the second Dunnie I ever got. It's packed away at this point, but it'll come out again definitely.
My 1st or 2nd quality pipe was one of these filter Dunhills. I've kept track of my pipes, so I could check to see which it was. The B&M manager took a liking to my friend and I and took on that mentor role. He sold me a Shell group 4 bulldog for $53.50. I didn't know enough at the time to care if it was a filter pipe or not. Never used a filter. Solid smoker. A lot of Nightcap and 759 went through that pipe.

Well I'll be driving and already have a hotel reservation so you just let me know man I'll pick you up or whatever :)
What, just "circle past Reno" on the way to LV? Nice of you, but that's a LOT of miles, and a lot of saddle time. I think it'd be somewhat cruel only for the fact all those pipes...all that bacca... I have a buddy from Tinder Box going, so he'll be on the lookout for outrageous deals on 'bacca I like, if anything.
