A good friend of mine, (at least he use to be until he sent me this), sent me some Gawith,Hoggarth Black Cherry Twist rope he's had for about 5 or more years plus about a pound or more of Bennigton's Special Blend that he picked up about the same time in Boca Raton, FL.
(which is really all there blends dumped in to one bag at the end of the month, you name it's in there. LOL!) Anyway back to the Black Twist. At first seeing it in it's zip-lock baggie I thought he fished it out of toilet, after a risky closer examination I found it to be more like a long bent cigar.
Well, after having it for a week now I figured I'd try it tonight and sliced off a good hunk and sliced it up into manageable pieces and stuffed it in my POS no name. Moisture was fairly decent and about right so I liter up, which took a little doing at first. The first draw was like a fairly strong cigar with a slight essence of black cherry, not bad. The further down I went the more the cigar taste took over, still not too strong and no real nic kick was detected. The room note, yep! Cigar, I reckon that's tolerable to some. Didn't really care for it that much, would rather stuff a cigar in my face then smoke one in my pipe. So if you like the taste of Black Cherry flavored Cigars in your pipe I reckon you'll like this. Now remember this is well aged so new stuff might just come up and grab ya. So, I'm going to cut a small plug off it, say about an inch or so and rest is up for grabs, if you dare.
