Can we say Norman Fell? A major character actor on TV and Movies in the '70s.

Hey Big Casino I was close. He was Lyle Tuttle's nemesis: Norman Keith Collins (January 14, 1911 - June 12, 1973) was a prominent American tattoo artist, famous for his tattooing of sailors; he was also known as "Sailor Jerry".

dang I was close I could have googled it, but I wanted to see if I could remember his name..LOL

This one's a bit harder but look carefully before you leap ! He's American btw.

That had to be quite an adventure for a kid!

Why ya gotta bring my momma into this? She told you those pictures were for your own private enjoyment. Now she's all over the internet like Paris Hilton.

Yeah, but does Paris smoke a pipe? Maybe we can convince Kevin over at Pipe Magazine to run a spread of her in his Pipe Babes section.

It's Albert Camus I believe. It's the only pic I've seen of him with a pipe as he was a voracious Galloise cig smoker and most pics of him show a cig in his mouth.

Man...that'll give you a brown spot from hell. My last fling with cigs (in younger, wilder days) was with Galoises...tasty sticks of death they were, but at least they weren't loaded with chemicals (well, in those days, anyway; I dunno about now). Even smoking a couple of them per day, I'd wake up in the middle of the night coughing. Pipe is mo' bettah.

Continuing in the Frogular vein, here's one:

The one eyed Monster. Jean-Paul Charles Aymard Sartre (/ˈsɑrtrə/; French: [sa t ]; 21 June 1905 – 15 April 1980) was a French existentialist philosopher, playwright, novelist, screenwriter, political activist, biographer, and literary critic. He was one of the key figures in the philosophy of existentialism, and one of the leading figures in 20th-century French philosophy and Marxism.

Bingo, Kashmir!

It was always a surprise to both Sartre and Camus that they were often mentioned in the same breath...and both as existentialists. Sartre was the premier existentialist, of course, but Camus wasn't.

They also were at opposite poles ideologically. Although Camus was at one time a member of the French Communist Party, that was in 1935, when communism enjoyed a certain radical chic among European intellectuals who understood nothing about its moral depravity. They were easy marks for Stalinist propaganda, and they bought it hook, line, and sinker.

But it didn't last long for Camus, who soon realized that Marxism in all its forms—from socialism to communism—requires coercion, and ultimately leads to totalitarianism, to which he was staunchly opposed. Sartre possessed no such clarity of thought.
