Hello BoB,
My name is Kurt. I am new here and relatively new to pipe smoking. I have enjoyed cigars for about 15 years but just got my first briar a couple of months ago. Currently I own a Nording semi-rustic bent billiard, a Charatan rustic straight billiard, and a Missouri Meerschaum country gentleman. Mostly I have been smoking 1Q and a local blend called "Oasis" from Palm Desert Tobacco but the briar bug has really caught me lately and I'm looking to expand my repertoire.
About me personally: I have very lucky to have 2 great kids and a terrific wife who's been with me for 24 years. I work in healthcare and I also do scientific research at a local university. I write and play music, camp, hunt and fish with my kids, and do a little crafting /woodwork stuff for fun.
Looking forward to getting to know folks around here!
