Jack Howell Pad - PFP Blast 2011

Lucked out on Ebay this evening and snagged this Jack Howell "Passion for Pipes" 2011 POY. Neill Archer Roan had these made for duplicate the Comoys 283, with modern materials. I have the smooth version and have been searching for the pipe in the blasted finish. The smooth is one of my best smoking pipes, so my hopes are high for this one as well.

I always tell people that I only like bent Rhodesians, but I've quietly accumulated some of my favorite Rhodesians in straights. Here's a similar shape pre-Republican Peterson. These are all relatively small pipes and the balance is perfect. Here's a crazy thought, perhaps one day I'll acquire a straight Billiard...nah, that is crazy!
