I too have revisited this blend as of late from the sample BD sent me and I find it much more palatable and smooth to say the least but, I'm sure it is from age and drying out a bit more. We'll see how it goes and just maybe I'll purchase me a small quantity and try it fresh and see what happens.  ;)

This blend goes in my book under the heading of, "Unique Blends that Contain Turkish, and other stuff" since it's the T component that interests me most. And it's certainly that that they're calling 'Oriental'...most likely Smyrna. I appreciate the balance between the various elements...Turkish, Perique, Dark Fired...and the base tobaccos. I've been more and more interested in these sorts of blends in the past few years, having had the door opened by Patton Blends, which I still believe to be the Zenith of the genre...notably Crossroads, Oriental Dusk & Dark Horse.

It's like the MacB blender here stumbled onto the Patton world (a unique and happy land in which no trolls live) and wanted to try his hand at doing something similar. And he did quite well IMHO...a good tasting blend the behaves really well for a MacB...and is fairly reasonable in cost.

My $0.02. 8)

Haddo's Delight Lite, in my personal tobacco classification system, the subtleties of which are known to no one, including myself. Put me down as a fan of this blend. I'm smoking it right now and it is tasty indeed.
