I thought for sure the pity points regarding my love for the Cubs might have won me the package (along with the super poster). ;)

Last of the payload arrived today. We are ready for launch next week.

The term "loser" is also clear and concise...and this was about vintage fighters not baseball, and was awarded per a reasoned response rather than for graphics...though that was a fine effort. Next time follow the guidelines or directions or whatever and your scores should improve.

Whiners.

AND THE WINNER OF THE TIN MEDAL IS:

Rob...with a very (and almost only) well reasoned and convincing reason.

Contrats to Rob!
Doers this mean we bomb him again to test his preferred air cover? :face:

I'm sure many of my students agree with 1/2 that assessment!

FWIW, it wins you some points with me. Hey...we went from dead last in all of MLB to a whole 1/2 game up on Houston at the break...Pennant Race, here we come!

oooraaah!

Cap'n A is so violent now. What happened to the A Man of the 70's comic books who threw his shield, went Kerpow! And never got his blue suit dirty?

I so just heard my mother in that line....... :(

Well, on a happier note...I've been hunching around here today after doing 'something' to my lower back while mowing or wrestling with the new mower (which is X3 the weight of the old one) and feeling pretty damn sorry for myself. My wife and daughter had gone off to have fun and are now gone again to a BBQ at a friend's house followed by a Street Dance in a small community close by. I was slated to go, but here I sit with a Coors long neck, my pipe and the Red Sox playin' Tampa Bay on the HD. Sigh. Life is hard.

BUT...before the gals went off to the big shindig, they stopped in long enough to present me with a rare and beloved item...a giant VooDoo Doughnut! OMG!

I was equally astounded that it was my 18 y.o. daughter that bought it for me. She NEVER spends her "own" money on anyone else.

I was even more surprised at her choice...the famous "Cock and Balls"! No...really. It's a cock and balls shaped yeast raised doughnut triple filled with Bavarian Cream (lol) and covered with chocolate icing. This must have been a special run, since the usual icing inscription that reads "Bite Me!" on the top had an additional, um, 'numerical' designation above it. Ahem! What a crack-up!

Honestly folks that thing HAD to have weighed in at about a pound and half.

Scroll down to see the famous 'Cock and Balls' wonder doughnut. Also, check out some of their 'stuff' they have for sale in the web store. The staff act as the models I'm pretty sure.

It's yet another one of the FAMOUS things that keeps Portland weird!

I'm feelin' better already.

So for some extra fun...

LOL....Blackhorse, we HAVE been to that tourist stop in Oregon. Your town is quite an experience!

JS - they must be doin' something right. I sure wouldn't call it a tourist shop...my kid had to STAND INLINE for 30 minutes to get in! Amazing.

The nice thing is that aside from being funky and weird...they are insanely good! God Bless America!

If you make it to Seattle, it must be Top Pot Doughnuts. They are the best. :D

If you've never been to the one, how do you know you prefer the other?
Maybe like this:

I've never been to Nova Scotia. I am partial to Oregon, north of California, on the way to Washington.

Voodoo is the bomb....despite the normal wait, which the place rightly should have. I got myself the cock n balls and the little voodoo doll last time through and it was awesome, Voodoo is a must and also on my list of things to do each time I go through Portland. Mine didn't have the "bite me" writing on it either but the clerk looked at me as she put it in the box and said "They made them unusually BIG today". She was a hot little number so it made it all the more wrong to get the donut lol.

Unfortunately I've never been to the place. I have people for that. lol At least, that's the way it has played out. Likely it's a good thing I don't have ready access or I'd look like Chris Farley.
