Complains about getting a free pipe, what gratitude!Kyle Weiss":wn01djil said:Apparently I got dragged into this little experiment, as I got a surprise in my mailbox.
Thanks, BC!
I'll have to clean it up and post a few pictures myself, but I have to admit, it does look like a classy fella's dope pipe.
Will it smoke to any satisfaction? Range report to follow. I'll do anything at least once.

I definitely got a sweet OTC burley odor from mine. The odor also reminded me of a dry toast snuff I enjoy, albeit a touch sweeter. I was going to attempt to cleanse it with a straight VA but perhaps I'll neutralize it with a few rounds of Carter Hall.Fr_Tom":h031bi0q said:The bowl of my pipe smelled like one I had in the car and used to smoke SWR. I cleaned things compulsively, but at the end of my first couple of bowls of Old Companion, I got a SWR flavor blast for a puff or two.
The bowl shapes on these are quite perplexing. Gonna be interesting.Puff Daddy":j32gpoje said:The packing and tobacco choice for this large bore conical bowl will take some experimenting. I don't concur with the pack it tight theory. At least with that particular tobacco.
Hey Mike! Sounds great! I knew you were a member here but couldn't remember your username. Didn't find a website when I googled you. I'm betting there will be some interestpipemaker":kaim79aa said:Hey P.D.
I'm still around, still carving pipes, and still making bowls for the Kirstens.
I have a group of bowls carved that need to be finished and polished, so if there is any interest, I will go ahead with them and try to get some pictures posted in the commercial section later this week.
