Hey Dusty....I'm Irish, Scottish, and Italian...pretty much everyone thats caucasian in Boston is Irish, Italian, or both lol. Having said that I love the classic look of Petersons...I actually have one on the way right now. But, before you commit yourself to buying the whole Pete lineup, you owe it to yourself to give some of the Italian pipes a shot.DustyRoundup":v0ijcz8s said:Thanks Shane. And that 304 was my first !
Yeah Airborne, I would love to visit them.
My Great Grandparents came from Ireland , I never knew them , but my Grandfather and his Brothers sure left behind an "Irish Way" .
I sort of wandered and drifted my early years away, and missed out on a trip where my whole Family went back with my Great Uncle , to visit Family.
So, Ya never know, because it sure has been a dream of mine.
But, I have been pondering the idea, of , would I like the Peterson pipes as well as I do , if I werent of Irish descent?
I would have to say yes, of course, as i really havent seen any other pipes that grab my eye, such as these.
The curves, the silver or nickel bands, the briar, the colors, the bowl shapes, the finishes, the system.
So many options to choose from. It amazes me.
I've seen some pics of this guys collection, but this link to his blog is amazing!Airborne":rz6iay2o said:Good morning, Rusty-
Talking about Peterson enthusiasts! I don’t know whether you know of Jim Lilley (aka-The Sandpiper) from Scotland. He’s a retired gent and a heck of a nice guy! He is probably the most enthusiastic Peterson Pipe Collector that I know of. He was the contributor of Peterson information on Pipedia and last I heard, he was engaged in writing a book about Peterson. Here’s the URL to his blog. It’s worth more than a peek! Be sure to click onto Photo Gallery. You’ll spend hours just looking at his Pete’s:

"the Sandpiper" is THE Peterson guy for sure ! What he's forgotten about Pete's even Peterson can't fill in!! If you have ANY question about what Pete is this or that, he's the guy that has the answers ! And he has Pete's that Peterson does not have in the small museum at the factory !!Brewdude":psq7b1l3 said:I've seen some pics of this guys collection, but this link to his blog is amazing!Airborne":psq7b1l3 said:Good morning, Rusty-

And here I thought my middling few Petes constituted a "collection"!
:affraid:
