So to those that have participated in this in the past- do you reveal yourself as someone's Santa, or just let them fester in mystery for eternity? Genuinely curious.

I think dropping a little clue and seeing if they figure it out would be fun :D
It's seems in the past many people could kind of figure it out by where the package came from, or the contents inside even.

Yeah, I just put my name on it. My package came from Santa last year, but I figured out who it was by what was inside.

I don't really think it matters unless you want to be level 10 sneaky. :suspect:

No. Not really. It's easy enough to do with the Postal Regulations today. But I don't name my Secret Santa in the open. I may send them a PM. :santa:

Fester in mystery for eternity. More fun that way. :)

I still have no idea who was my Santa last year. I thought of him today as I smoked SG Chocolate Flake in my Tao and Ulsted pipe I received last year.

So thanks again Santa!

I heard a rumor that they had to add another shift at Smoking Pipes right after I sent out the PM's the other day. I don't know how they keep anything in stock this time of year. :santa:

Don't know about y'all. But I think I have everything. Just waiting for the proper time to ship. The etailers tell me they are getting supplies out as fast as possible. Santa's elves are working themselves overtime. :santa:

Plans are coming along nicely here. Always more to plan for though!

I admire y'alls restraint.  Sometimes Secret Santa's can't stand it and ship way early.  Just a reminder, we are 13 days from the target shipping date.  With one exception probably.  I suspect next Saturday and the following week will be busy with packages overloading the Postal service fleet.  If you can actually wait till closer to the 7th, that would be great. Be sure to post here when you have shipped.  And post if you have received.  I log this so I can keep track of where we are at.  You may decide for yourselves if you want to open right away, or wait till Christmas day/eve, etc.  But if you send something that might remotely be perishable, like a bottle of Bulleit Rye, or some food product, be sure to let me know and I will pass that on so it gets opened when received.  Post lots of pictures!  :santa:

While I am not interested on participating in "Secret Santa" for personal reasons, I do know that it's a fun thing and new members may be interested in this.

I also know there is likely there are some rules for doing so.

That said, if it's not too late (or even if it is), it may be a good idea for the pivot man in all this to one again post/promote the process here for new members.

Happy Holidays everyone :santa:

Xmas has always been a difficult time for me as it is for many other folk here, despite this I absolutely love the spirit of Xmas, not the lights and all the weird decorations, the depth of kindness and consideration to our brethren shows me just how special we can really be when we try. I love giving gifts to people, knowing the the happiness and the small ray of sunshine these can bring to someone makes the process one which gladdens the heart and soul. This Secret Santa thing is a many splendid effort yo guys go to each year for each other, shows just how amazing the members of this site are, give it a blast if you're in the US folks, it'd be cool if we could start up something like it for us folks in the UK next year, strikes me as a wonderful thing to do for each other, we'll just have to see what next year brings.
