Nismo, I find G&H dRk plug very easy to smoke but these SG plugs are hard to keep it light. I dry them out and break them up into small one layer pieces. Lights well but can be hard to keep lit if not packed loosely. Clogs up for sons reason too. Do you have any tips for cannon plug or rb plug?
Hey all, sorry for the delay on the update. Been running all over for work this week. I received a notice from USPS on Monday stating the Swiss Post was conducting an investigation and needed confirmation whether or not the package was delivered. Obviously, it has not and I completed the notice and turned it back in. At this point, I'm assuming Synjeco has to wait for the results of Swiss Post's investigation before the Swiss Post will honor an insurance claim. Hoping they get things resolved quickly so Synjeco can get their claim and get our order resent...

Bugs, Not sure what you mean by "break them up into small one layer pieces". Are you peeling the layers of the plug apart? If so, you would probably be better off using a sharp knife and cutting a slice off of it and rubbing it out. You end up with more of a ribbon-ish cut doing that.

I was letting it dry slightly then slicing and rubbing out but I was cutting too thick. I took advice and slice thinner then rub out it works great thanks. Like goodfellas the onions

Ha I'm sure I'm not the first to quote that in regards to plugs. Anyone who has rb plug I highly reccomn a bowl 50/50 rb & squadron. It's heaven

Since I've gotten Rb, Cannon & grousemoor plug from synjeco they are easily my top three favorites tobaccos. However the thought of paying about a hundo for each 250g box from synjeco is a rather unrealistic thought. Is there anything we can do to get Sam Gawith to put these plugs back on the us market? It might be the decision of the supplier kings & Phillip who does there us imports. Any theory's on how we can bring these plugs backs? Anyone who smokes the SG plugs it would save us a whole a lot of cash

Also about cannon plugs flavor...I've read on reviews it's called "cheviot" rather mysteriously. Or it's described as honeydew...what are your opinions? Have you noticed the flavor has a smoothness to it that tastes almost like flavored Chapstick? One finds this same quality in Celtic talisman if you've noticed? What is it that gives the smoke this texture? It's all so mysterious

Grousemoor plug is also very different than it's mixture. It has more of honey quality and the lemon that is overwhelming in the tin is nearly gone from the smoke. It has a very natural taste and is quite delicious

Would anyone be opposed to starting another thread to discuss the tobaccos so we can limit notifications on this thread to shipment updates? And speaking of that, any news?
Thanks,
Mike.

Sorry my bad, I shouldn't be going on about these plugs while you guys have been waiting for months! My apologies hopefully nismo will have some news soon

Still no word on the Swiss front...I sent an email to Synjeco on the 17th when I posted my last update letting them know about the notice I received and haven't heard anything back yet...

Well, I still haven't received a reply back from Daniel after sending a few emails letting him know of the information I found out from USPS and the notice I got regarding the Swiss Post's investigation. It's been nearly a month since his last email actually. I know he was always somewhat slow to reply before, but I think considering the situation, a bit more timely communication wouldn't be too much to ask.

I emailed him again just a bit ago to find out if there were any updates and also to inform him that I was going to submitting a dispute of charges as suggested by my credit card company. This is due to the time frame involved and the fact no refund or replacement order has been issued. I really didn't want to do so, as I honestly believe this was a fluke with the postal system, but there are time constraints for disputing the charge. Realistically, it won't have any affect if the situation is resolved (as I expect it to be) with either a replacement order being sent or a refund being issued.

I just find it a bit disheartening that as a business, you wouldn't take care of the issue with your customer first then deal with recouping your insurance claim with the postal system. Leaving your customer waiting for 3 months for any kind of resolution isn't my idea of the best way to handle it. I will say, this doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about putting together another group buy with them.

I apologize to all those who are still patiently waiting on your orders and will let you know as soon as I hear back.

I received a reply from Daniel this morning stating that he received a letter from Swiss Post last week declaring they were unable to locate the package and that USPS lost the package. This means that Synjeco will be getting refunded and will be issuing a replacement order. He said he would check on their current stock to determine what is in stock and how to proceed. He also mentioned the idea of not sending rope or twist tobaccos, saying customs might think they are chewing tobaccos. We have never had an issue in the past, and the USPS was pretty determined that this wasn't a customs issue. If customs had a problem with the contents, I would have been notified. For the fact it appears it was sent back to the sender (or at least supposed to have been) by USPS, they said more than likely it was damaged or the shipping label was damaged or mislabeled. In other words, it was undeliverable per the USPS, not customs. I will keep you all up-to-date as much as possible, and keep an eye on your PM inboxes, as I may need to find out about replacement items depending on their current inventory.

That is great news Chris. The rope/twist thing would be a shame, but at least we are getting close to a resolution. Thanks for keeping on this and keeping us informed.
Mike.

He is going to send everything as before, including ropes. Just waiting on one blend to come back in stock, which he said they are expecting Friday. Let's give this another go!

Thanks for banging your head against the wall on this for so long...great to have (hopefully) a resolution!!!

Anyone heard from Zunismoke lately? I'm still waiting on a reply regarding one of the tins he wanted that's no longer available. I've tried PMing and sending an email through the forums with no response.
