Rande, your killing me!!! I played the drums for many years and my very first basic drum solo was Wipeout. But the Surfaris was the original group that played this song, however I played the Ventures version by the drummer Mel Taylor. Also played the Ventures song Pipeline, wonder if you remember that one??? One of my favorite all time songs for me to play was by the band Iron Butterfly and the song, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. The original name/title of the song was suppose to be In The Garden of Eden, which if you listen closely you will here those words. I miss those days, I also played at the well known hot spot on Bowery, not far from Bleeker Street in the East Village of NYC, called CBGB, the place closed permanently a few years ago due to lose of lease. The property was worth a small fortune. In my younger days playing the drums I based my technique on John Bonham's 16th note feel drum riff, extremely difficult. Those were the days, my friend. Yes, I know that's a song by Mary Hopkin.
KEEP ON PUFFING!!!
