Sunset is getting earlier, and the evenings are noticeably cooler here in Florida as I enjoy my 601 Green Oscuro.

Tonight I'm trying a Rocky Patel Vudu cigar.

Tonight I'm smoking a Patel Bros robusto. It's nice with some spice.

I smoked some kind of CAO tonight. The flavor was good, but the draw was tight. Took me forever to finish

Torano Domenico Toro. Mellow cigar, 100% Dominican filler with connecticut shade wrapper from Ecuador. Great mild smoke, although burns a little fast. Got it in a 8 stick sampler for 80 cents a stick from Cigars Intl, (Free shipping). List price is $48,(With shipping) for 20 sticks.
Reason I think it was so inexpensive, is that when I looked at CI website listing for same cigar, the band was completely different than the example I'm now smoking - different color, different design. I believe this one was a way to get rid of old stock with old band. Still very good for the person just starting cigars or the guy like me who just loves mellow cigars.

I'm from Connecticut. You have no idea how many of those leaves I picked and hung every summer as a 14-15 year old kid.
Right of passage for most kids I knew. Now all the tobacco barns are gone and hardly any is grown there anymore. It used to be famous for the wrapping leaves.

Yeah, now the "Connecticut" shade wrapper leaves are grown in the banana republics, much cheaper. The former connecticut river tobacco lands have been sold to developers, I figure.

CAO L’Anniversaire Cameroon, Robusto. Normal price is USD $125.07/20. Got one in a pack of assorted brands, "8 cigars only only $10". Promotional advert by Cigars Intl. Regular price $125.07/20 sticks, (I have never payed that much for any cigar). I love box pressed cigars... they somehow have a better mouthfeel. Strength, though touted as mellow to medium, was more on the medium side. Burned well, with a little lopsidedness. Can't describe the subtle flavor nuances as I'm not an expert afficionado. I can tell you that paying $1.25 for a $6.25 cigar was quite a bargain.
