Off to work with a bowl of 2021 Watch City Simply VOriental in a straight smooth medium brown 1930s Wilshire 5 bulldog (Comoy’s second) made for John’s Pipe Shop in Los Angeles with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Now smoking year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth brown 1960s-70s BBB Own Make 506 Canadian with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink the rest of the night. Working and listening to The Adventures of Superman from my radio collection.

Nice pipes Charlie! Is the Miele a shape 642? I like the lines which somewhat remind me of my 320.
Thank you. Good eye, it's a 642. Your Savinelli's an EX, that must mean it's a little bigger. Put up a pic of yours if you get a chance, I'd like to see it.

It's still a little waxy, but it's cool what the beeswax did to the colors on this pipe. Part of his turban turns red as it gets warm! I'm thinking, how does it know from a block of meerschaum to vibrantly color part of the design? A very positive result.

Finished work for the day, and am passing the half way mark on this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave. Then, Abner the Eager showed up and everybody got nervous, so I spaced out their food hoping that would work. But, Daisy was too upset about seeing Abner, and walked off. I tried to pay Tomato some attention as he gets jealous, but apparently so does Abner, who growled at Tomato, and after both took a swipe at each other, Tomato ran off, too. I tried letting Abner in the house, but Sleepy Suzy got jealous of the attention I paid him, and came over to me reassurance. Abner got jealous, and took a swipe at her and yelped. Suzie growled and hissed, so I had to put Abner out.

Here is the 320EX Trevi on a hickory wood slice and walnut table. It was one of my most recent new pipe purchases excluding cobs, since the 1980's. It was a good choice, though smoked a little hot at first. I've since thought about a prince shape like the 315, but I'm leaning towards the 642. I guess it's the more apple shape.

Beauty, you are pretty stable with your collecting if the trevi is one of the only nice pipes you've bought in fourty years! People rave about their authors, it's pretty similar to the apple, bigger shank. Nice picture!

Good morning gentlemen. It's bright and sunny here but it's going to be hot again, close to or over 90. I wish we had gray overcast and rain since our a/c isn't working. Going to be hot all week, high 90s by the weekend. Might be time for Zippos trick, fan blowing over a bucket of ice, lol. Anyhoo, having my own Tumbleweed in a Sav Hercules 606EX with morning coffee. Swede, I have the same shape, a 320EX but in a Hercules. Smokes great since day one. Dedicated to English/Balkan blends. Have a great day my friends.

Thanks Charlie. Well, I quit pipes until 2015 to 2017 when I went back to them as an offshoot of cigars. Then back around 2021 or 22, when I decided to spend that cigar money on something more economical. Now, I doubt that will change. I'm mostly into estates, but wanted a new one to compare. I admire your collection as well as all the others people post. There's a certain fascination with pipes and how/what drives peoples collections, and I like learning. Did a lot of reading and talked to some pipe shop guys before getting the 320.

66° and hazy.* Castello Carlo Scotti Natural Vergin π G unmarked 287 shape w/ 6 year old Night Train. Good smoke, but smoker error in the packing with a little whistling. It drove me a little nuts, and I didn't have my poker with me. 7/10.

*the jet stream must have shifted the Canadian fire smoke back into the region? I couldn't smell anything, but it sure didn't look like fog.
