Half way through this bowl of year 2020 Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Noon chores are done, the asprins took the edge off and I just finished a couple of potato skins with a touch of sour cream. I opened a 2015 tin of Wessex Campaign dark Virginia Flake and filled an MM Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy, a favorite tobacco in a favorite pipe! Coffee on the side to be replaced by homemade hard cider when the NFL playoff starts at 3.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Sutliff States of Virginia Limited Edition ’23 in a smooth, fumed top three quarter bend 1970s Peterson military mount meer with a nickel cap and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Despite a dozen salt and Everclear treatments, sanding out the carbon and tons of elbow grease, the Lakeland ghost is still present. Dunno what else to do since I don't smoke Lakelands these days.

Had some of the Va Slices in my Brigham, easy smoke in this pipe, I should use it more. It certainly helps that I reamed it well the last time I did a big clean-up.

Very strange weather, there should be snow on the ground but it’s 69 degrees outside. El Nino does strange things. Taking advantage of it, sitting on the back deck sipping a beer, watching the Chiefs whoop on the Ravens, smoking some Yorktown in a Ser Jacopo.

Had no idea what you were talking about. I had to consult Marlon Perkins' Mutual of Omaha Wildlife Kingdom database. You have some really interesting wildlife in your corner of the world Ranger. Having Va Slices today, prepped a half flake this morning, it'll do 3-4 pipes. Mulling over the culinary prospects of your "herd" with the little Lorenzetti. Are they good for BBQ? Javelina?

Not really. They are not pigs. They are in a separate family called peccarys. Their closest relative is the hippo.They are very gamey. Some folks say they taste okay if you know how to cook them. However, in AZ, you can't shoot one unless it is attacking you. Not worth the bother, and they stink to high heaven. I wouldn't even want to field dress one unless I was starving.

The Chiefs won the first game, Taylor Swift is going to the Superbowl! Second game is the Lions vs 49ers. Just filled a Pride with GLP Kensington and refilled my cider glass.

Back from the Legion. Wifey turned me loose long enough to join our monthly pool tourney. My partner and I did okay.won 3 of 4 games and lost the last one by one shot. Tried my experiment of mixing Stanwell Melange with C&D Big and Burley. Tried it in a vintage Hilson XXX straight grain volcano and a MM Eaton cob reserved for trying new blends. Didn't really work. Think I will just dump the B&B and try something else with the Melange. Good evening my friends.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2001 Dunhill Navy Rolls in a very early Ascorti straight New Dear KS billiard with a smooth shank with a black acrylic stem. Gold Star Nightwish, neat, is my drink. Watching The Eyes of Orson Welles. The narrator is a tad irritating and projects himself into the documentary too much. But, it is cool to see Welles' artwork. Going to watch half tonight, and the rest later because it's hard to take two hours of the narrator straight through.

Had a bowl of Old Professor in my figure meer. I do not smoke this pipe often because it really does not lend itself to clenching, it is definitely and "in-hand" smoking pipe and I fidget constantly. Watched "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" with it, Tina Fey's "dramedy" about a journalist's Afghanistan embed career in the early 2000s. It was good, a deadpan, humorous look at conflict journalism when compared to "A Year of Living Dangerously" with Gibson and Weaver.

Anyway, this is my colouring update on Mr. Ed, not much to show except some rim and stem area darkening. Very little facial change. Gonna have a bowl of Old Professor in my Brigham and call it a night.
