Good morning my friends and fellow BoBs 😊
Starting off this morning with some G&H 2022 Seasonal Reserve in a Falcon Shillelagh. Fitted with a Hunter briar bowl.
I have my usual visit from Nurse Ratchet today, with her bag of medieval torture tools. So I better make this smoke a good un.
Have a great day my friends 😊

Officially starting my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. It's supposed to rain all day, so no walking reps today.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of KBV Dread Knight (Sword and Board) in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Really have to learn to post these as I write them. It'sTuesday morning and I'm having my coffee with my Bones Dublin filled with H&H. Wondering if dementia or Alzheimer's is creeping up on me...I can't remember which.

I have to take the plunge and give a buffing wheel a try. Hand buffing is not working on my stems.
I use my lathe with two cotton 10 inch wheels 1/2 of each wheel dedicated to pumice, red stick, white stick, and finally carnauba in hard stick. I can adjust speed, highest 1750 RPM. At that speed pumice will get most oxidation. Now I soaked my stems in Oxiclean powder and warm water. Then, if the oxidation was deep sanded the bits with 500 and up to 1500 grit. In some stubborn cases I had to use a 1/2" wheel on my Dremil with pumice mixed with Walnut oil, even hand rub, before taking it to the big wheel. I should note I have an 8" hard felt wheel impregnated with pumice and oil for tough spots that the above couldn't get. Charatan DC bits were the hardest to work given their stair steps. I have found that Dunhill used a very high grade vulc. One final note, I learned the wheel on a lathe at the pipeshop (Diebels) that I worked at in the 70s. It's very easy to get a catch and throw it across the room. If your pipe is attached it could be a bad scene. So go slow till you get a feel for it - like riding a bike. Hope this helps.

Smoking a Pete Watson with Sutliff Mark twain,Horton`s k-cup. I just came back from the Dr. office,We had a nice shouting match... I was in to see him a month ago after a blood test,He explained to me that my sugar level was high, I found that unusual, So, I asked to see my last 2 years of blood tests to compare my sugar levels. All of my sugar levels have been the same ! He told me the government/medical geniuses lowered the numbers,So ,NOW I am considered a diabetic,He put me on Monujaro ,which I have been reluctantly taking. Today, He`s telling me the new Mounjaro is whats making me sick,Yet ,He doesn`t understand why I am so angry!

My Dr said if you know that you can't remembet something it's just old age, i.e. a senior moment, not dementia. It's dementia when you don't know that you can't remember, LOL.

Just finished smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a year 2021 straight black sandblasted Peterson Ragaire 150 bulldog with an unmounted army mount tapered acrylic cumberland fish tail stem. All the ferals are here. I had bring Abner the Eager into the house since Harry the Hairy started his intimidation cries. As is often the case, Sam the Scamp was with Harry, and I had to let him in for the same reason. Sam and Harry get along until food enters the picture. Abner's finished eating, and now Sam is having a meal.
