Up early and although it is still dark, the temperature is pleasant. So I'm on the patio with a book, a cup of Kirkland Colombian, and my Barling Sovereign bent acorn with saddle stem filled with KBV Burley Morning Pipe.

Cool pipe, and I guess a cherrywood. I've been thinking of trying to make a cherrywood, since I have a big tree down. I have a little Ropp acorn that smokes great, and I'm hoping to get a smoke in it today. I've wondered about that blend, and almost got some last order.I have had this Ropp for like 10 years and decided to give it a go and crack a new tin of Rattrays. Unfortunately it still tasted of when I cleansed it way back then with everclear.
A few more bowls and it will be allllll good.
Its a nugget of a pipe thick walls and feels great to hold so it will be a regular I reckon.
I really ,really love the profession mix anyone that wants to try a mellow english blend this one might be good in my opinion.

I think LL-7 is an underrated tobacco. I was a big fan of Captain Black Copper and when Lane Limited stopped making that and the grape I was too late with stocking up on it. I have a case of assorted CB tobaccos in the 12oz tubs. So I was a little disappointed I didn't get any Copper tubs and a friend who is a blender told me that LL-7 is to CB Copper in the way that 1-Q is to CB Royal. Even though it's not the exact recipe, it's very close. And he wasn't fibbing, it was very close to CB Copper. The cut is a tad different, but to me it tasted and smelled like it's Captain Black counterpart.Smoking a Winslow Lovat, Lane LL-7, Horton`s k-cup. Cloudy day with rain on the way.
Man, now that gets me on the hunt for something like that.Found a brass ferule of some kind, and wouldn't you know it fits the stummel of my MM country Gentleman. I also darkened the shank.
