I got to sleep in this morning while my wife took care of the animals! Now I'm enjoying G&H Balkan Mixture in an MM Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy and a cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe that my wife made when she heard me get out of bed!

Ranger107; pretty birds, what's the large one dive bombing the doves?

Another feelgood, brisk morning. Director's Cut in a Stanwell horn. Hate to watch this tobacco dwindle in the jar. Might be a staple at this point.

Almost finished smoking this bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Got a bunch of HU review samples today! :)

I think it was also a dove. Some of the doves around here get pretty large. We have hawks as well, but they don't usually go for the feeders. We do have a peregrine falcon that occasionally will swoop down and grab one.

Bali, went back and looked at the photo again. I didn't even notice him at first, but I think that was a Coopers Hawk. They don't stay, just swoop in and right back out.

About a quarter of a bowl left of KBV Verge Engine Santa Drive in a straight smooth dark brown late 50s, early 60s Comoy’s Deluxe 20 billiard with a silver cap military mount and a black vulcanite tapered stem. Working on a review of this rather fruity VaPer blend.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2021 HU Directors Cut in a 2002 black short shank grain relief straight Caminetto 6.L.17 tomato with a black acrylic tapered stem. I'm testing this blend out to see if HU dialed back the DFK as I suggested. The DFK in the earlier productions (up to 2017) was a condiment and not a force as it has been in the post-2017 era. It was a more complex, balanced blend back then. So far, a few puffs tell me it was changed, but I'll decide on that after I smoke more of it. A cup of hot tea is my drink.

Half way through this bowl of HU Buchstoun (Clans of Scotland) in a medium bend 2001 Ural lattice Rhodesian with a yellow with white swirls acrylic saddle stem. Working on a review of it and six other HU blends I received today.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, French cut pork shops and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue in a smooth dark brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam 340 patent billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

About a quarter of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark brown medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a vulcanite black tapered AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked.
