Good morning. I’m smoking some Ennerdale Flake from G&H in a SMS half bent lattice meer.

Two things I’ve noticed with this blend:

1) It’s the most “Lakeland” of all the Lakelands I’ve ever tried; and

2) Several years of aging does NOT mute the perfume at all.

Point of clarification, the attributes above are meant as compliments, not criticisms. I absolutely love this blend.

Happy smoking, fellow pipers.

Just finished smoking year 2015 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

I took some time away from social media, there's another site that's less than social, and opened up some new to me blends. I'm have a before dinner MM Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy filled with McConnell Latakia Mixture 1848. It's a Latakia/Virginia blend fashioned after Dunhill Baby's Bottom, which I didn't really like, but, the McConnell version has a pleasant sweetness.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. Gold Star Mocha, neat, is my drink.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Was out playing wth a couple of the feral cats. Big Stripesy just loves attention. Daisy does, too, and was rather jealous about it, so she got her time, and it was Stripesy's turn to be jealous. Rather amusing, I thought.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've about a quarter of a bowl left of year 2020 Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 159 *4 apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. M'lady and I are getting ready to inventory the Archie original art I have here for sale.
