43° and a gloomy overcast morning. Stanwell horn with a short bowl of gifted McClelland Blackwoods Flake. Not a special occasion, but I was in the mood for a little McClelland flavor. I was in a rush, so I couldn't take full, relaxed advantage. Nevertheless, it was a fine smoke.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2014 Astley’s No. 55 n a 1915-1920 straight smooth dark brown BBB Own Make 150 apple with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. The Greenbrier Gourmet Springhouse Blend, neat, is my drink. M'lady bought a bag of this for me. Watching a few episodes of The Doris Day Show that ran on TCM last night. Brings back a lot of memories. I do find it a tad funny that they always keep Day in soft focus. It's overly obvious, too.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rock fish and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries and blue berries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-1952 (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs. Watching my good friend Frank Ferrante starring in An Evening With Groucho. Frank was kind enough to gift me a DVD of this upcoming PBS special. Check your local listings to day and time. You'll never be sorry that you watched it.

Earlier tonight, we were watching my very good friend Frank Ferrante as Groucho Marx from the DVD he gave me. I was stunned to discover my name is in the credits, and during the credit roll, the drawing I did of Frank as Groucho was screen. I never, ever imagined a drawing of mine would be in the same company as Bobby London and Al Hirschfeld, and certainly not seen on PBS. Check your local lists for An Evening With Groucho this month. You won't be sorry, unless you miss it.
