Using Sturdy Papa 359's advice, I sliced really thin layers off my new Petersons 3P Perfect Plug (and it was a beautiful most solid plug), dryed and rubbed them a bit, then smoking now in an MM diplomat bent apple. This is a fine tobacco for a fine day, and has required few relights. Having with filtered water and some home roasted Ethiopian dry processed coffee.

Mmmm....Mmmm....Good! 3P’s is a blend that the more you smoke it the more you crave it. Smoooooth! For some reason I like it better in a tall thin bowl.

Followed that up with a nap, and then a bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

Had some back pain early but went away by the time we got to the ranch. Okay when I saddled up but after an hour of riding flared up again. Had to cut our ride short and head back to camp.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and snow peas dinner with a small bowl of spaghetti on the side. Dessert was strawberries. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2022 Astley’s No. 109 Medium Flake in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LBS Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. I DVR'd the Phillies-Padres game and am in the top of the first watching the Padres score four runs so far. Glad I have no idea what has gone on since, and if you do know, please don't tell me or it'll spoil the game for me.
