I'm smoking CD Bow Legged Bear in a Peterson Flame Grain.
Well, Five Brothers is definitely not for everyone, I agree. It is one-dimensional for sure, and I get tired of it when I smoke it repeatedly. As far as smoking too fast, that's an artifact of how dry it is and the way it is cut - a shag or somewhere thereabouts. It's like burning a fire with twigs; they burn up fast because there's so much surface area exposed. I'm on my last pouch of it now and don't know if I will order more in the near future; getting kind of tired of it. Another thing that I don't like about Five Brothers is all the woody pieces of leaf midrib that you have to pick out of it. I have many other blends to choose from, like Carter Hall and all the tobaccos that you @Ranger107 , @Swede, and @WarneOut have sent me recently. Thanks guys!Good morning gentlemen. Trying the 5 Brothers again in a Pete Pub with morning coffee. Honestly Haebar don't know what you see in this, lol. I get a real kick out of reading the reviews. They range from best I ever smoked to how can they even sell this s**t, lol. I am somewhere in the middle. Agree with Jiminks. It's very one dimensional, smokes too fast, and can get hot if not puffed slowly. I don't get the toasty nutty flavor he talks about. May try mixing it with the CS Burley to give it some more taste. Anyway nice morning here. Not too warm and no wind so far. Should be a nice day.
Yes he is. He is our "trick" horse. Bows, waves, shakes hands, and turns around on his pedestal. The old folks always get a kick out of him and I love handling him and making them smile.Finished by first pipe and loaded up some GH Balkan Mixture in a Pride to take on errands.
He's adorable, have fun!
