Having a bowl of Star of the East in my big Lorenzetti. This pipe handles English and Balkan blends very nicely, so does my Brigham Prince, and my Tomato Meer. I'm starting to see come of the characteristics different bowls have for smoking different blends. This may lead to a loose dedication of my pipes to different tobacco families.

Ice water and bergs is my drink. Sleepy Suzy is by my side because she doesn't trust me to celebrate the new year without her.

Enjoyed a light snack, fed the ferals, and am smoking a bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2013 Rotary Navy Cut in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Shane Ireland at Smoking Pipes and Peterson to bring the pipe back into production.

Good morning,
Starting the year/day with a Savinelli 310 poker, PS b&b 23,mug of Hazel nut coffee. Last nights dinner was great! About 10 pm last night we had a thunder storm with high winds and heavy rain.It was hard getting to sleep with the Arthritic pain. I finally gave in and took my pain meds, Then before mid-nite,we had people shooting off fireworks and guns in the rain!Luckily, the thunder and rain got worse and everything got quiet. I have lived in the suburbs of NY all my life and lately I have been wondering why!
