Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Happ New Year, BoB! Had CH in the Cobbler to start the year off, I'm now having Pegasus in my Anton & Co. maple wood brandy. Rang the year in with some Cafe Cuba and could not sleep until almost 3 am. As I get older I get more and more intrigued by the arbitrary nature of the calendar and its irregularities with nature, how the calendar imposes a template on society that often sits in opposition to sense and reason: things that keep me up at night.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have passed the first third of this bowl of year 2013 Rotary Navy Cut in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Shane Ireland at Smoking Pipes and Peterson to bring the pipe back into production. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Watching Bat Masterson with Sleepy Suzy by my side.

@JimInks, it would seem to be a natural to add a "Bruce" to go alongside the "Rathbone" in the Sherlock Holmes line.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've passed the quarter mark of this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2023 in a 1984 black rusticated full bend Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching The People's House: A White House Experience on C-Span3 which is the American History TV channel on weekends and when Congress is not in session. They broadcast a great many biographical lectures, documentaries, and discussions on all aspects of our history.

I managed to get Shane Ireland to get the 4AB made although both of us would have greatly preferred it be in continuous production. Shane took photos of the Peterson X155 a few years ago, but nothing's happened. That's why I'm asking for help from forum members. I pitched the Holmes-Watson idea many times to no avail, but I don't believe in giving up. I should note that before the 4AB was the POY that it was the most requested shape by pipe smokers, so there's always a chance they may make the X155 some day.

Near the last quarter of this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Mr. Christian’s Brown Flek 2021 in a 1984 smooth brown full bend Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. The fella who found a home for Long Tail got a recent photo of her with the other cats in the home. She looks a lot like her mom Sam the Scamp, but is bigger, and has some of Harry the Hairy's coloring.

Half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked. I'll end the day with this smoke. Been traffic copping feral feeding. At least they don't go to the bedroom so Molly Danger always eats in peace. Sleepy Suzy ate, too.
