This afternoon I'm smoking GLP Laurel Heights in a bent MM Missouri Pride along with a cup of coffee.
I was in Davidoff's shop in NYC in March 2024. I was shocked about their pipe selection, mostly Dunhill's that had been on display for a long time. They had a good cigar collection of Davidoff. I have been to Davidoff's shop on Geneva and NYC was a step down. If you get the chance, visit Iwan Reis in Chicago. You will come out glowing.I only jus
t started smoking a pipe. I never was able to to see a "real" pipe shop. Unlikely now.
Very unusual. I have an Ascorti I bought at Iwan Reis some years ago. I looked at a cabinet full there, and didn't see any wirh threatened tenons.Mysterious..My custom blend I call "Breakfast In Isengard" in my Ascorti Business Dublin with a conical chamber. This pipe is odd as it has a threaded tenon/mortise that doesn't seem to be an alteration beyond the factory View attachment 24860
When I was a consultant I traveled all over the world. I used to visit zoos and botanical gardens. I wish I had known about pipe shops back then. One summer I commuted from The Netherlands to England, Sweden, Denmark and Finland every week. Had to have been some amazing shops back then.I was in Davidoff's shop in NYC in March 2024.
