Passing the quarter mark of his bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. All the cats have eaten except for the absent Tomato the Brave and Abner the Eager. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink.

Snuck into the garage for a smoke as it’s friggin’cold and wet outside. The Missus is ill so I shan’t get caught. The only damning evidence will be if she can detect the smell when she is well enough to drive. The garage door is open BTW. Smoking a raw Nording with Proper English a cup of decaf flat white is within easy reach.

Finished a dinner of hamburger patti w/o bun and dill pickle, plus tater tots and snap beans. Started a fire - cold night ahead. Watching JAG. Bourbon - Evan Williams is my drink. Filled my briar carved head of a middle ages man. Only markings are made by hand in France. It dates to the 1950s - a gift from one of my college professors. Smoking Cotton's Double Pressed Virginia.

Jim, your "traffic" observation is correct and timely. This time of year, I'm literally left "out in the cold" as to my pipe smoking. I've had exactly three bowls since early December 2024!! Crappy cold, windy, sometimes wet and/or snow & ice, WX with no where to smoke outside. My frustration level explodes when I enter my "Dads' room" to see all my pipes and tobacco sitting there unused. So keep up your "good work." Trust me, I can't wait to contribute here again!! And, FWIW, my three bowls were all in the same afternoon...2008/2009 Balkan Sobranie O.S.M. in my large (DH ODA 6 or larger) 40+ year old Ser Jacopo R1 billiard alongside several mugs of English Breakfast Tea!! I'll be quiet now...FTRPLT
Almost the same here, as the weather has kept me from having a bowl. When it breaks, there is no time. When it is cold and opportunity arises, I usually can take it, but haven't felt up to the chill. Spring will come soon.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a 2015 Ryan Alden quarter bend burgundy sandblasted Queen of Hearts freehand with a black acrylic saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Time to clean a few pipes. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.

I have not seen a beanbag ashtray in ages.;)

Heading into the Hs. Honey and Chocolate in an estate Amphora.
Basil is working on dinner. I can hear him laughing away at the TV. Azula wants to help Chez with dinner. She said she has skills.
Finished my first pass at the garden layouts. Found an app to make it really easy. I'll refine it after dinner.

It's been a double extra busy evening. Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2019 C&D Derringer in a smooth brown-orange undated Mastro de Paya 3A L Tulip with a silver cap military mount and an acrylic yellow tapered stem.

After that, I had a bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.

Couldn't sleep, so I am sitting in the den, and have passed the half way mark of this bowl of unreleased 2014 Sutliff red Virginia in a 2014 smooth, medium brown quarter bend Basil Meadows paneled horn with a tapered cumberland p-lip stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in quite a while, and I forgot that I had a jar of this blend until I found it a few days ago. It's aged nicely. No snow yet, but it's on the way.

Wow Jim! I really dig those W.H. Newman pipes Sir! Very nostalgic looking. I'm curious what those stems are made of. They look like orange Creamsicles.

I've had the same thought before, man. Dunno what the material of the stems are.

Almost half way through this bowl of Jim's Va/Bur in a smooth brown medium bend circa 1950s-60s Bertram 08 dublin with a tapered black stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in a while.
