Busy day here.. And with pipe smoking also. McC's Blue Mountain in a Sasieni 4 Dot Prince. Then Lancer's Slices in a Erik Nording Red #5. Cold smoking outside but warming up a tad today to 26.F .. Just returned from my very first time smoking a very old Italian Hand Carved Lion Pipe filled partway with some Uhle's Blend 300 More work needed for sure on breaking it in but it was not horrible at all..

Ordered several Boswell's aromatics before Christmas, so that's what I've been smoking a lot recently.
This morning: Bear Blend out of my favorite basket pipe
On the way to work: Piper's Pleasure in the same basket

G & H "Dark Birdseye." Wow, the journey continues and it is awesome!

Great stuff! I've been through quite a bit over the past few years but its been a while... I have a few 4oz. jars stashed away methinks its time to crack one open... Strong, full flavored leaf for sure.

Reiner's Long Golden flake in a little Shell Briar Canadian for me.

Sunshine is always nice this time of year.. Altadis Blue Note in a Bent Canterbury..

Took a long walk outside smoking a bowl of Erinmore Mixture in a Jobey Shellmoor Extra Oom Paul.. Great smoking moment.

Putting on the warm boots and catching the sun rays walking down the road. Enjoyed a bowl of Rattray's Red Rapparee in a Carey Black Poker.. Just moved above freezing here..

36 degrees and overcast. Trash pickup day.

Stokkebye's Luxury Navy Flake in a Vauen Calabash.

EC Outlaw:

I gotta tell ya....Man after my own heart. Just love to know that I'm right in sinc with you man. I'm pushing 64 which happens in May and I also light my pipe, determine the weather, and focus upon trash pick-up days. Just took mine out for tomorrow AM pick-up. How would we ever manage keeping track of the days in the week if we had the luxury of just dropping our trash down an incinerator chute whenever? Presently hanging a bowl of Beck's Ol' Limey Bastard.

Walnut in a MM Patriot Cob. Then McC's 2010 CC in a Goussard Oom Paul.

GH Dark Flake Unscented in a Sasieni 4 dot.

Of the HO (high octane á la alfredo b.) baccies this is one of my faves. A little sweeter and more complex than Irish Flake.

I ALMOST grabbed some of this today.

Instead, I grabbed some C & D Pirate Kake. WoWeeWoWoW!

Just wonderful. My first pipe in total solitude. I don't know it was because I was smoking alone and not worried about how I looked or feared doing it wrong but I felt relaxed with very few relights and sipped away and really enjoyed the tobacco and my time listening to some wonderful music.

Just when I might have relit I just lightly breathed out and a little back into the pipe and it just caught fire and shifted gears, as did the tobacco. If I didn't know better, I might just be getting the hang of this, albeit slowly.

Just had a fantastic smoke myself.. McCranie's Red Flake in a Tinsky Squat Bulldog.. Sipping its essence.. I have read many thoughts on pipe smoking and enjoyments of special blends of favor.. I just realized smoking a pipe and trying to say what is right or wrong to others is like totally Quantum Physics.. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder.. Like Muddler would say.. Let them eat liver...
