Year 1998 Orlik Golden Slices in an early Radice Rind three quarter bend sandblast egg with a bamboo-style carving on the shank.

On this last day of the month, this is the last day of my vacation, and the last day of my job. Tomorrow I will be officially retired. After planting ten day lilies as a surprise for my wife, I'm sitting on the back porch marveling at this cool summer so far (obviously I'm not in Death Valley). I am enjoying Uhle's Bishop's Move in my Comoy Tradition, Calabash shaped pipe, 225, with a tall glass of Iced Luzianne tea. Will it rain today and break a six day streak? The Cubs are leading Seattle in the 6th. Go Cubs.

Started off after b'fast with some aged BBF in my first Pete 999.

Mid day had a fine bowl of FVF in my Boswell estate. I've dedicated that pipe to it and they seem to go well together. Great pipe too.

Got some P&W Churchill drying for after supper. Really like that blend.

Cheers,

RR
