Old Joe Krantz in one of my original 4 pipes I purchased in 1969.

Medico smooth Rodesian with a slight bend to the stem. It's been a while since I smoked this pipe. Just gave it a good cleaning and polishing. Why with all the excellent pipes have I chose to smoke this pipe today, memories from the past on this day 47 years ago!!

As a Volunteer Fireman, on my third call ever it was a signal 13 ( structural fire ) fully involved. I was on the roof ventilating and the roof caved in with no prior warning. I ended up landing on the second floor on a couch of all places. It was like I was in Gods hands. A day I will never forget.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Park Lane Oriental Express Scene 1 early this AM in my Pete 999 Flame Grain I purchased back around '01. P-lip. Always a great smoker and probably my favorite Pete shape.

Mid afternoon saw some 1+ yr old SPC Deception pass (VaPer) in my estate Ser Jacopo Per Aspera Cherrywood. A very favourite pipe since it seems to smoke everything well, and I love the shape and finish.

Will have some aged 5100 after supper as my dessert, in the trusty Stanny Legend 19 which is dedicated to this blend.

Cheers,

RR
