Relaxing stuffing myself with Nathan's hot dogs, chili and fries, and am a quarter of the way through the last of my stash of RO Perique Series Blend P-37 in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Watching the Astros-Dodgers game.

Ted, mine was the Tinsky '12 Xmas pipe, not the '12 POTY-

I also have the '12 POTY, exact same style as the one you have. All of Mark's pipes are fantastic!

Cheers,

RR

Brewdude, thanks for posting the pictures. Yours is a real beauty!! Forgive me for not noticing you typed Xmas pipe, in the last 5 days I've slept less then 7 hours total.

PS, I prefer the Xmas pipe over the POTY!

I NEED TO MAKE ANOTHER STEM FOR MINE. Fat to the shank and bent more.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Ted, I'm sure Mark could make you one of those iffen you were interested. He made me an '11 Xmas pipe years after it was originally offered. Just sayin'.

;)

Cheers,

RR

Brewdude, yaaaaa I know but it will give me something to do. I will keep and smoke with the original stem also. It's an outstanding pipe and a superb smoker

I'm HAPPY I OWN IT NOW!!!

One of the most overrated blends, just my opinion, and be careful how you handle it:

Penzance

Pipe of choice: MM Mark Twain dedicated to this blend.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Granger in a tan etched medium bend 2001 Rinaldo Sahara 2 Acorn round at the shank, pointy at the opposite top with a black acrylic stem. Working and phone chatting about pipe tobacco.

AJN #3... an excellent blend personally made by a member of this forum and was generously gifted to me. Must have used a superb Burley with a light sweet Latakia. It has an outstanding Rich Dark Chocolate note. Absolutely NO bite if pushed. Can be an all day smoke!!

Pipe of choice: Aldo Velani smooth Pot with an Octagonal shank and a slightly bent wide stem. This briar has a stunning grain and is absolutely flawless.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!
