Well, I've seen pens made with briar, Morta, meerschaum, bamboo and other woods but never one with a Corn Cob, and now it's all mine! :D

I've seen those and almost pulled the trigger but than I realized I don't use writing instruments enough to warrant the purchase.

Times are a changing.

I realize this may be a bit off topic but, I just gotta ask Andrew.
You don't ever write down notes, lists for groceries etc.
You don't write down measurements, sign cards, update your check book, etc.?
I'm not trying to be a BH here just can't get my head around the idea
of not using a writing instrument much.
There's not a day that goes by that I don't use a pen or pencil, please explain.

I can't speak for Andrew but I rarely use any kind of writing implements anymore. Lists are pretty easy to put into the new fangled phones, either by typing or even speech to text depending on the phone you've got. I haven't done any work that requires measurements in years as I left all my tools behind in PA for my oldest son. Reconciling my checkbook doesn't take anything as I only ever write a check once in a very rare occasion. Also as to signing cards or writing letters.....well I just never was good at staying in touch. I however still doggedly carry a pen and pencil with me all the time. Old habits die hard. I carry an old school drafting pencil and break it out when the muse strikes and I'll draw something or other. The muse however has been rather silent for the last few years though. So all told I actually use a pen or pencil maybe once a month if that often. I don't count those stupid electronic signature pads at the hospital or pharmacy to be using a pen. Just figured maybe I could shed light on how it's possible Ron.

Fricken technology, sooner or later we won't even have to speak or even think.......some fricken machine will be doing it for ya. I'll never own a cell phone or any of those other new fangled gadgets, a PC is quite enough of the electronic world for me. :fpalm:

Huff covered the reasons. I have a cup of pens and one or two in each car "in case". Check book is a once in a while thing. Just looked and the last written check was October '14.

I do sign checks once a month for my HOA but the manager has pens. I couldn't tell you the last time I purchased a pen/pens.

Lol I get that but unfortunately with Katie's medical issues if and when she gets put back on the transplant list they have to be able to get ahold of me 24/7/365 in case they get a viable organ. Hate the phones myself but I figure if I've got to have it I may as well get some kind of use out of it.
