Count me in as a fanboy of DS9. Recently started getting the first several seasons in from my library, and was hooked immediately. Which sort of surprised me, as back when this was first aired I didn't think much of it. Perhaps now that I've watched all TNG episodes it prepared me for this further excursion.

Just now finished the 3rd season and have to say that it's holding my attention. I'll very likely go through all 7 seasons. Yes, there are episodes that don't particularly resonate with me but that's to be expected. Not a knock on the show. Just my experience fwiw.

I do particularly like the character development of the main players, including and especially Quark. What a hoot!

cheers

Now have finished the entire 7 season series. Gotta say that some of the initial episodes didn't particularly resonate with me, but the writers found their footing pretty quickly afaic. The last 2 seasons were seat-of-yer-pants and the continuation of the theme was much in evidence. Color me impressed....

FYI, much of the country side that is supposed to be Essex, England is indeed the Pebble Beach Golf Course with Carmel Bay in the background.

Ya know, I suspected as much. While the geography was somewhat similar it didn't ring true. I've some little experience with England's green and pleasant lands....

I watched The Harder They Fall on Netflix…

I was surprised… lots of action and killings.

good stuff!.

Finally got to see the new 007. Really good. Casino Royale is still my all time favorite, but this last series of 5 moves was fantastic overall.

I think it's a great series

It hooked me right away with the first 2-hr episode, although it did take a few more episodes to wrap my head around the new characters and how they all fit into the mix. Once again I'm glad for closed captioning, as I often have a problem understanding dialog. Now have the 2nd season and will probably go through all 7.

I guess back when this was broadcast originally in '95, I was too wrapped up in my career to watch much if any TV. I also missed DS9 and Next Generation in the same way, but have been catching up with them now through the courtesy of my library which is an excellent resource. Think I mentioned that the first season of "Picard" was way beyond excellent and I look forward to the next supplement.

I did watch the original ST when it came out and enjoyed it, but never to the point that I considered myself a "trekkie". Maybe I need to revise that!

😉
