Getting back to basics...

Actually, I just remembered this old thread and thought it might be of interest to some of the newer guys.
So, yeah. Bump.
That looks like something that Monbla would have bought... new. :clown:

I carry a Kershaw Ken Onion 1620 (Green) in my pocket and a Leatherman Wave in my bag.

I carry a 3 bladed Old Timer. Can't imaging not having it in my pocket.

Looks like the 'nam era knife that was issued to me . Saved me some $s

From left to right

CQC-T Tomahawk - American Tomahawk Company
USMC K-Bar from Vietnam - original owner sharpened it and even sharpened the top of the blade, which I found out the hard way
BlackHawk Elishewitz Nightedge
Rambo III - made in Taiwan used to open mail and boxes
Camillus Terzuola Cuda CQB1
Black Special Forces Knife - made in Taiwan great for opening mail and boxes when I can't find the other knife for mail and boxes
Leatherman Wave

Thats what I carry also. I use to carry a 2 blade Old Timer but lost it to TSA a few years back, just like the one my grandfather kept in his pocket, I have just started to carry one with me again. The last one had some sentimental value, oh well, I got over it.

I find that both disturbing and respectable. :suspect: :p

i've got a Benchmade Bone Collector. i wen tto go buy a nice knife after i got a good paycheck one day and they had these in stock. i like the wooden handle because if your palms are a bit on the sweaty side (i'm chubby so i tend to sweat) it won't slip

Like a few others I carry a Leatherman Wave multi-tool in my ruck-sack. The knife is razor sharp and there's a tool for just about any small task.

I either carry the 1st knife i built a ATS-34 blade w/sheep horn handle 5 5/8" overall length or else a 3 finger knife made out of a chainsaw bar w/cow horn handle that my buddy gave me. Also the same guy that taught me how to build knives about 10 years ago.

Somehow I just knew Hawker would post something really cool! :D
Mine are nothing compared to the Monbla prehistoric swiss army knife you posted, that is hilarious, gonna need to learn how to flintnap.

Mine's an old Barlow that I've had since I was a kid. It's cheap, beat up, and a bit gross looking but it is finely honed. I use it mostly to make quick work of GLP Triple Play.
