I bought a cotton sampler from Schatt & Morgan for my plugs. Granted, more for looks than anything, but it is ATS-34 steel and does cut flat to the board. It's more fun for me, having hobby toys, but hardly a necessity.

No reason to be embarrassed, durham...smoke your own smoke, as that saying I hate goes. One of my favorite pipes to smoke is one that I don't think is the best looking pipe. But I love the feel in my hand and the smoke that it gives...ain't t'all 'bout the looks. If it makes your feel better...

I keep my samples in the baggies in which they come. I have multiple samples, too, and I bag those that are similar (say, all lat blends) all together in a larger baggie. Then....I store the big bag of baggies in a jar. I end up having a big bag of lat blends, a big bag of va blends...
