    Just bought my starter package

I neglect mine horribly as well...but the advice I've seen recommends running a cleaner through them, and wiping out the inside of the bowl with paper towel afterwards. There was a thread on SF a few weeks back about cleaning cobs...it is possible from what I gathered.

    SERIOUS junk science!

:lol!: I'd rather stop eating my vegetables! :pipe:

    What are you smoking?

I had a quick Neos small cigar while taking a break from cramming for a final. 8)

    Cornel & Diehl Manhattan Afternoon

Yeah, I'd say the honey isn't much of an issue. To my taste, it was just a delicate sweetness, but you more experienced folks might taste differently.

    Prince Albert or Carter Hall?

I've never seen any of them up here. When Rich gets his big tubs back in stock at 4noggins, I think I'm going to have to start stocking up on some bulk purchases, and these would definitely be on the list.

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

Probably. I was in from 1:45-2:30ish I think. I picked up some of the Okanogan. Seems pretty good so far. :pipe:

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

So to update, I went and saw Chris today. I bought an ounce of tobacco, a tin of small cigars, and some beedis for a friend. Total of 40ish dollars. The ounce of pipe tobacco was 16.95 or so, up from 12.92. Yes, the tax increase affects all loose tobacco, tinned tobacco is included in this...

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

Yup. And thanks. :) My advice, catch this sh$t before it happens! Our legislature can initiate, pass and implement laws in less than a day if they want. They are not required to consult constituents, nor report these laws to the media. In the official press release given to the media, ONLY the...

Yes, Puffs is quite right about that. Here's the letter I sent to my representative in the legislature. 8)

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

Well. In terms of taxes, prices are insanely high here. The plus side, though, is that our border is very permeable...I have had shipments come through labeled exactly as to what the contents are, and have been duty free. I think so long as you don't have a package coming through every...

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

Should be, yup. I think loose tobacco refers to everything but cigars, cigarettes, beedis, and cigarillos. Basically everything that isn't rolled... Mind you, perhaps an argument could be made for flakes and stuff. If I end up going in to see Chris, I'll ask him, and report back.

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

I should also say that tomorrow morning, I'm going to spend what money I can afford to at Chris's store, and let him know that his customers are here for the long run. Plus, I've Facebook messaged all my smoking friends to inform them to bombard Ms. Evans. :pipe:

A Practical Guide to Future Tobacco Prices

Oh my god...I didn't realize it affected pipe tobacco so much. Iris Evans is getting a helluva angry email in the morning.

    For the Tobacco Historian...

Very cool, thanks. There are lots of interesting books and stuff on tobacco. Always a fun read.

    Smoking while driving

I don't know if I read this here or somewhere else...heck, it might've been in this thread. If you're looking for a tamper, steal your wife's sewing thimble. Seems like that would work fairly well. I tend to only fill a quarter-half bowl. I tamp when I light, then re-light, and then don't...

    What are you smoking?

Can't smoke inside, so I've got some McChrystal's Apricot snuff going to keep me awake while I write a paper. :P

    Ever eaten one?

I had my first Krispy Kreme in Las Vegas last summer, and I was blown away.
