I find it very strange how much a particular pipe can change the flavor/complexity of a tobacco. What behaves one way in one pipe, can be a totally different smoke in another. Case in point - Firedance Flake . . . I put it in one pipe and it was merely OK. Put it in my Blakemar Briar Lantern...

I just opened a bag of this I bought in bulk - WOW - talk about a cocoa rush! I have had Bob's before but never Mayor's . . . Bob's seems higher in Latakia while Mayor's seems to have a more pronounced cocoa aroma. I look forward to lighting this up . . . soon as a it dries out a bit! :shock:

It has been gone awhile now but I have a friend who loved it - has anyone "cloned" it with some new re-blend? I would appreciate any information.

When I go out to meet him I will light up some weed with my son - I introduced him to pipe baccy when he was in college. :lol:

Headcharge - I really like the stuff. The key is to let it dry. Leave some out overnight and smoke it the next day.

Wow! I find a great difference between the tobaccos you mention in this post! I find the Davidoff especially to be much stronger than the others, probably due to the perique. They might all be made there, but I wonder if they are different blends.

I got the Navy - not the Blatter. Funny, the thing I like about this is that it has the taste but without the bomb for me! To each his own! :D

Finally tried some . . . and liked it! Does it come in bulk or only in the tin? Thanks!

Golden Flake is one of my all time favorites - never tire of it.

Go for the Orlik first - you may not want another!
