    Patience Does Pay Off

Sell it for $100 and buy stuff you will smoke. That's probably an exaggeration. You could get $50 I'm sure.

Here's a steal for you guys that want it. https://www.reddit.com/r/pipetobaccomarket/comments/3ieyb9/wts_pipe_tobacco_fire_sale/

    WTF (penzance rant)

I, too agree with it probably being better remembered in death/unavailability than it is when smoking it. I was curious about what you've do without your beloved GInnyweed. What tobacco would you smoke if it were gone? BTW, SG boxes are nearly as cheap as bulk McClelland ($3.50/oz at SP). I've...

    WTF (penzance rant)

It sounds right up my alley. I love McClelland 2035 which is dark-stoved as well as GH&CO BF Scented, which has a licorice, maple, tonquin topping. If I am the lucky winner of the PM contest I can shoot you a sample so you can try it before opening your bag.

    WTF (penzance rant)

The blends supposed to be the closest would probably also be hard to obtain. I actually think a big part is probably the thrill of the chase. Because it's so hard to get I bet for a lot of people it's the achievement as much as the blend itself. I bet there are others that really enjoy it and...

    Equipment Question

Actually, if you stick your finger in a pipe and twist it around so your thumb runs along the outside, you can find places where it's not perfectly round. Sometimes it helps to use more than your eyes.

    C&D's Three Friars

I just tried a different sample and it was more Burley-forward than I remember; pretty evenly balanced actually. I wonder if the it's the same thing with the contents settling unevenly or something. Then again, maybe it's just me remembering wrong.

Anyone tred any of the 6 new McC blends yet?

I seem to remember from a past thread that Scottie has an in with someone at pipe club that gave up some info on 5100. If this blend is anything like 5100 and 2035 together it sounds great, but I won't bite unless it's bulk (doesn't sound like it).

    WTF (penzance rant)

I hope OP got some. I can't tell how long that took to sell out since I switched time zones and I'm no good at military time either. Edit: Maybe it'll pop up at other shops soon. Keep your eyes peeled if you're in the 'I really do like it' camp.

You're also still allowed to sell some to him to buy something nice for the wife. Or a new pipe!

    WTF (penzance rant)

The time issue is exactly why the stuff goes for so much on eBay, etc. There are people who don't think it's worth the time, but do have the spare change to drop $100+ for a bag of it. Budgets are different for everyone just like tastebuds are.

    WTF (penzance rant)

Several people missed the fact that OP said he actually does like it. Best way to get it is probably ask your local B&M to order it. I got a bag that way once, though he charged $50 for it.

    Hmm... sounds pretty tasty.

    Mcclelland Oriental and nosewarmers...

I think 2020 is great. I didn't like 2045 as much. It was too light and seemed aromatic-ish.

    Knife for plugs

I'm with Dutch. If you just want something to cut plugs and ropes, get some sort of razor blade holding thing, box cutter, etc.

    C&D's Three Friars

There is a good bit of burley present, but it's definitely more VA forward. For those who find C&D Burley blends not sweet enough and too harsh, do not be afraid. The sweeter VAs tame these characteristics, but also receive some extra umph from their Burley counterpart.

Dual Video Review: R-Blend and Epiphany

I'll make a note of it. So many tobaccos, so little time.
