Great pass.
Good to see you post Eggman!
Thanks JP Had alot of stuff happening lately. Been reading trying to catch up on the box and it looks like it has been growing by leaps and bounds since I had it. I think we need to make a rule that the first person who gets the box is also the last. HAHAHAHAHAHA just kidding. Looks like there is some great stuff in the box.

So here is what happened with the box we got home late on Tuesday and I left again on Thursday so I had limited time but did sample a few things while cutting the grass it takes about 6 hrs so I had a nice time riding and smoking.

Sampled 2 bowls of each HV, Robusto the last of it Escudo and Best Brn

Takes Red Flake and Stratford

Puts 2001 Arcadia, 2003 Black Shag, 2005 Butra Royal Vintage, pouch of 5 Brothers

Open Tins Royal Yacht, Penzance

The package left on Thursday for Ohio should be there today or Monday enjoy.

It arrived while I was golfing this morning. I just opened it and am overwhelmed. Getting ready to sample my first bowl from it in my clawed egg meer. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

First bowl tastes like Horse _hit. No, that's the name - Merde de Cheval. It's a nice mild english. Not wowing me but some subtle flavor.

There is so much in here I can't imagine passing it in any less than several days and even then I won't have satisfied all curiosity but will certainly have had some treats.

Hard to psot while I am smoking one pipe, packing the next, and cleaning others. Back later.

Clueless.. You can keep it your full time or ship it Monday, thats your choice. :D
BUT, one thing to consider... You would fry your head trying to smoke every sample in there even in the full amount of time. There no shame in taking a bowl or two out and saving it for later.

I am enjoying my way through the box. Just deciding what to sample, what to save, and what to trade is a mojor challenge. Just to get an idea of what I am dealing with I did a quick inventory tonight. By my count there are 75 tobaccos in open tins or baggies and somewhere around 20 sealed tins. I am enjoying some Patriot Flake right now and enjoying it enough that I may have to get a tin of my own. What a great experience!

It reall is a blast, isn't it? I still haven't finished up all of the samples I took when I had the box, so don't feel to overwhelmed. Save yourself a treat or two for later!

I was hoping to add a large number of snuff samples to the box, but I am second to last in the pass - any chance it will go around a second time?

You know its funny you asked....

I was just contemplating that last night... I don't know what we are going to do yet... Maybe a contest, maybe send her around again, maybe give it to the bros with less than us... I don't know... We will figure it out while its in the mail back to me or while I have it.. I'd like to hit the samples, and I want my sealed tins back, but I have no desire to do 'Boxpass for profit'. I witnessed to much of that on the cigar boards I used to visit. Guy would send out 20 cigars, get back 50-60 cigars, a few months later he'd send out 20 cigars... Nobody would ask "hey, where did those other 20,30,40 cigars go?" They'd just treat him like a hero for 'starting' another pass, never bothering to realize he was rippin them off.

If you decide not to have a "round two" perhaps a contest?
Pennies in a jar, jelly beans in a bucket, golf balls in a trash can........

It would be a helluva score for a lucky Brother

I started a thread on what to do with it called "The End of the box pass" so we can discuss it.

Okay, this little piggy has finally sealed up THE BOX and it is ready to be mailed in the morning. I'll be taking it to the PO then. I'll post the numbers and such sometime tomorrow after I see it off to the great southwest.

I really do feel like a piggy. I have been sampling a lot. Here's the damage list:

Sampled: C&D Evening Rise, and Exhausted Rooster, F&K Merde De Cheval,
Patriot Flake, Galway, Savinelli Black Cavendish, Escudo Navy Deluxe, Peterson Sweet Killarney, Dunhill Royal Yacht Club Mixture, Westminster, Jesse's Own, Penzance, White Burley, Uhle's Blend, Revelation, Three Blind Moose, Ashton Pebblecut, Common Teal.

Takes: C&D Pegasus and Rose of Latakia

Puts: Sealed Tins - Sutliff BRG Mixture, SutliffFrench Quarter,
Rattrays Accountant Mixture - One or two bowls taken out
Altadis - Nightcap (pouch)
Straus Private Stock,Straus Private Stock Aromatic

I thought about replacing the box but it took everything in minus some of the bubble wrap. It has a lot of tape but seems to be fine and while full is not bulging.

Thanks a lot for organizing this PB. It was great!

It is on the way. USPS says delivery is most likely Saturday. The delivery confirmation number is 0310 0480 0002 0271 2172. Either it has gotten heavier or USPS rates have gone up more than I thought. $32.10. That could be for the feed the mule team will require to deliver it in New Mexico, though. The lady at the PO thought the box was plenty sturdy and taped enough that it would be fine. I hope the rest of you enjoy it as much as I did.
