Woke up way too early, so have come to the office and loaded and addressed 'the package', although I will of course wait until Wendesday to 'take off'

Oddly enough, I had happened to notice an episode of the 'animated' DOGFIGHTS series and recorded it...due to the BoB Bombers thing. It's the episode about the P-51 Mustang entering service (done from the point by which it had the RR-Merlin V-12 and the plexiglass bubble canopy...the "B" model). I love both the animated 'action' sequences and the interviews with the OLD pilorts that felw these birds. They must be long gone by this time, so I'm glad there was some record of them describing the performance of both the machines and the people that flew them and their enemies.

Not what a German pilot wants to see...

Anyway, I was checking PM's while watching and sipping my morning coffee (a nicely crafted Yirga Cheffe) and found Spud15's report of the Confirmation Number. Way to go Spud.

The first mission described on the Dogfights show was a sortee into Germany to meet up with a flight of B-17's...where they stumble across a huge formation of German ME-109's...got an altitude advange and dove into 'em, eventually taking out a total of 38. Not bad for a group of 8 planes.

Anyway...so...even though Spud reported his DC# as per protocol, he won't be mailing til late tomorrow...which likely means a Wednesday mail out date real time from his PO. So he's right on target. ME? Even though I live FAR from nearly everybody in the Squadron I still mail out on Wednesday morning as even from Portland a package sent Priority will take just two days to the East Coast...depending on the ruralness of the target zip. Just sayin'.

So...THE GAME'S AFOOT ! ! !

Woah, I can see someone's trailer next to the water! Nice bedsheet drapes, dude! Suuuuhweeet! 8)

Hey, BH. I'm having trouble seeing that pic. Could you post a bigger one?
Need a 52" tv to get that whole pic on the same screen. :lol!:

Bomb is being ordered as you read this. Company has tended to take a little extra time when I order bulk so I am ordering now after close of business expecting it to not go out til Wednesday anyhow.

I just didn't want to detonate on target prematurely this month like I did last month.

Heck, last month my package was in the mail an hour before I knew what the target was!
Stupid ESP...

Detonate prematurely . Teee heee. :p
I couldn't help it, I just got so excited. I swear it doesn't normally happen. (I couldn't help but type it the way I did and leave it hanging for someone to pick up and run with lol)

I'm very proud of myself for not responding to the 'premature detonation' crack!

Oops!
A bit too tempting for any guy with even a remotely twisted sense of humor. Thus my evil ploy  Twist without actually being able to take the blame for the twist ha.

So...on another topic...

Since I'm the one recording the DC numbers as you guys send them in...um, do I have to report to myself?

Oh...just kidding. Just looking for a little break. I've been up in the belly of the beast, doing some last minute maintenance on the racks.

Racks always need lots of attention.

A good well lubricated rack is very, very important when you're trying to drop a load.

I always insist on oiling up the rack I use myself.

It's kind of a calling. (snicker)

When should I mail my bomb?

(...just kidding, it's out, just wanted to make BH's blood boil...) Heheheheh
