According to everything in the USPS's system, it is still sitting in customs in Chicago and hasn't entered the postal system, yet their tracking shows it arrived at the USPS facility in Chicago on 4/17?? As far as I know, ISC is customs, so I'm going to call the local USPS consumer affairs department tomorrow when they open. Sorry, there isn't better news. This is by far the longest a shipment has ever taken to arrive.
Meh. These things happen...always a risk when ordering internationally. Actually, I'm surprised this is the first time it's happened to me (I take snuff, so I seem to always have a shipment on the way from MrSnuff.com, also located abroad).Bugsahearn":0iju9ult said:thanks nismo. too bad the order is taking so long. I guess it ain't really worth the extra dough for priority if it sits in customs for a month :x
Tobacco from Switzerland garners a bit closer inspection by US Customs because a good majority of the Cuban cigars that make their way to the states do so by way of Switzerland. But to answer your question, no, as long as you ordered something that is legal to ship and legal to own, they have to let it through to you...eventually.Bugsahearn":zswshrmg said:Is there a law about importing tobacco from Switzerland? Does anyone know the specifics like are you taking a risk whenever you order that customs will confiscate the package? Could customs have confiscated your order since it was large?

Indeed. But it usually shakes out in the end. I just think of it as Customs putting a bit of age on the tobaccoidbowman":824wbk4q said:Meh. These things happen...always a risk when ordering internationally.
The last group buy orders have came through within 5-10 days of shipping, so this is totally out of the ordinary. The latest word is Synjeco is still awaiting the Swiss Post's investigation. Considering it's been 60 days since shipment, even if it was returned and shipped via freight, I would imagine it would be back to Switzerland by now! I'm just having a hard time with the fact the USPS can't tell me whether or not they returned a package to the sender...Bugsahearn":pmfstoxk said:I don't want to rub it out but I placed an order and got some SG plugs pretty fast from synjeco. So the problem was definitely the post office/customs which really sucks. Any word from synjeco?
I'm loving the cannon and rb plug I got but I'm sure having a hell of a time smoking it. Cannon plug is amazing but it's got to be dried out real well and crumpled and even then I can't keep it lit. rB plug forget it. Any tips for smoking this stuff? I've got it to let it dry for about a week but it's db near impossible to break up. Rb plug is similar in taste to westmorland...more sweet and darker but has that same type of flavor. I wonder what it is.
