Good morning,
Starting my day with a rusticated Pete Baker street with Velvet and an 8 o`clock k-cup. I cleaned a few pipes yesterday,It`s amazing how the 9mm filtered pipes stay clean and don`t need much, but the regular pipes are a mess and need a lot of attention.

Not far from finishing this bowl of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Had to play traffic cop with Daisy the Feral Princess, the ever hungry Tomato the Braves, and the always hungry Abner the Eager. Watching High Heat.

Thanks a bunch for kind words, fellas. Been tough losing a friend you've chatted with nearly everyday for twelve years. Jerry Spradling was a pipe smoker who loved the pipe lifestyle. The cancer was not related to his smoking, and he fought it as hard as a man could. He was a great man. A big loss to everybody who knew him.

The Charring Cross should do it! Back in the 80's I stopped into Peretti's looking for a tobacco and when they found out I moved to NH they asked if I wanted a tobacco to keep the mosquitoes away. It sounded like a great idea and I took their advice. It was a Lat bomb and I had never smoked anything with Latakia at that point. It did keep the mosquitoes away but didn't have the sweetness my aromatic had so I never bought it again!
By any chance do you remember the name of the lat bomb? I think H&H 10 to Midnight would work but I always have to take a shower after smoking it or I, and my clothes, smell like a campfire, lol.

Smoking a Jeantet bent apple with Russ` pirates cove and a decaf coffee. The heat wore me out today,so I reheated yesterdays BBQ Leftovers for dinner . we about half of what was left, the 3 dogs ate the rest. Our Newfoundland is very funny, she does not like Hotdogs. LOL!
That is odd. My Newfie would eat anything and everything but she especially loved chocolate ice cones.

Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake in a Peterson rusticated standard system 309. Been up since 3 am and out early about 5:30 to finish laying deck boards. I needed this bowl to celebrate and contemplate next steps. Now to build a set of stairs that get to ground from 8 feet up. Seriously thinking about steel frame as Ranger107 mentioned some time back.

Add my sympathies Jim. As EZ said try to accept the loss and remember the good times. Have faith and trust that he is in a better place.

Taking Bali's suggestion and having Charring Cross for my 2nd bowl to see if it will keep the gnats at bay, lol. In a MM general cob with my 3rd mug of cowboy coffee. Sitting here watching my flag waving in the wind I am reminded of an email I got from a friend on the 4th. It was an article about the history of why Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner. Interesting and inspiring. Something kids in school should be taught. And something that might inspire a few adults as well.

Enjoyed a big cheeseburger, several slices of cinnamon raisin French toast with a lot of cataloupe on the side for lunch. I'm passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a post 2007 Castello straight brown Sea Rock KK US made in Cantu (Kimo) apple with a tapered black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
