Good morning BoBs. Up fairly early today. Time for one bowl of GH Seasonal Reserve gifted by Zippo and a couple mugs of coffee before we head out to the ranch to ride for a while. Cochise got new shoes and Teddy got a pedicure yesterday. Might have a chance to get in a couple more bowls this afternoon. Have a great day my friends.

MB Virginia no 1 in a CAO bent bulldog meerschaum.

In carving my first pipe, I removed as much wood as I could with a carcass saw. The bog oak cuts pretty easily, and it's already light enough to clench comfortably. I'm excited to move to the next step, rounding off the stummel and shank.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Just got some very hard to find George Washington Cut Plug from a good friend. I'll smoke that after I finish my coffee. Gold Star Cafe 645, neat, is my drink.

Not far from finishing this bowl of 1970s R.J. Reynolds George Washington Cut Plug in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

It's been a long week of deck work, so I've been missing some bowls and keeping up with this thread at my usual pace. It was encouraging and lifted my spirits to see posts from BoB's this evening.
Straus Tobacco Independence blend containing Virginia, Dubec, Mahalla, and Mountain leaf latakia in a MM General with forever stem. I really like this blend and it's unusual tobaccos, and it is tasting good in this cob. I'm appreciating how trouble free smoking a cob is right now.
Annie Belle Lee the tortoiseshell is keeping me company.

An English blend (Big and Bold) in a CAO Bekler meerschaum.

Oh no! I severed the airway with the saw. It doesn't seem to be a big hole, I may be able to epoxy the gap. I'm shaping the rest of the pipe before I get to that problem. Damn.
I was just reading about someone patching a cracked bowl with JB weld. Maybe that would help. I also saw patching with krazy glue and briar dust. Hope you can get it fixed.

Close to finishing this bowl of 1970s R.J. Reynolds George Washington Cut Plug in a straight dark brownish sculpted 1960-70s Peterson meer poker with a factory replacement tapered black AB p-lip stem. Been very busy.
