Took Jacksie for a long walk with Schwab's Proud Sultan in my Hardcatle's bent billiard. The Proud Sultan is growing on me. I plan to visit them today and will ask what's in the blend.

Good morning everybody ☺️.
With all this talk of Falcon pipes, (Sorry Jim but I personally like them 🤭).
I though yeah, I'll start off with a Falcon. But as I approached the Rack my hand was drawn to the Butz Choquin Rodeo. So a BC it is, with Rangers Urban Cowboy. A large pot of Yorkshire Tea on the side as I wish you all a great day.
Speaking of Falcons, as anybody heard from SturdyPapa.
I can understand the appeal of BC, I had a Butz-Choquin bent Rhodesian with a diamond shank and a pearl cafe au lait stem that I used to death. It was one of my first pipes. May have been a bulldog, I can't really say I know what the defining difference is.

Haven't seen RasherRoll in a while either.

I took Jim's advice and I watched "The Maltese Falcon" last night, starting at 3 AM. It is a good film, I was surprised that the pace was as high as it was, I expected it to be more deliberate. Glad you recommended it, Jim. There are still so many social references to it today, it's a shame I never saw it before now.

It's just coming 10 AM now and I'm having coffee and MT in the Legend. I didn't sleep much and I'll probably cave and go back to bed.

Having dark beans I ground just a moment ago coffee. Going to work at my rolltop as I'm filling two pulpits this Sunday - gotta have something cogent to say. Will lite my first pipe for the day with Orlik Club Mixture. (Just read Jim's review so I think I'll like it). Filled my Dunhill FE F/T Tanshell 4T, Apple Prince made in 1954 with vulcanite bite. Hard to believe the pipe is 70 yrs old.

Good morning,
Smoking a Big Ben freehand with Lane LL-7,Horton`s k-cup. I am surprised that very few people smoke Hilson/Big Ben pipes, I have 2 of each brand and they are fantastic smokers. They are reasonably priced on e-bay,even new they are not expensive!
No Big Bens but I have 3 Hilsons and they are all good smokes.

I was on the island of Malta in December with my bride. Really enjoyed the island and learned something of the reality behind the movie. The Knights Hospitallers were given the island by the King of The Holy Roman Empire, Charles V. To thank him the Knights cast a Falcon out of precious materials to give him. But, it disappeared in transit, never to have been found. Enter Humphrey Bogart, or should I say Sam Spade, and a classic movie is born.

Chores done, doggies fed, having CS Choctaw in a Sav Hercules 606EX with strong cowboy coffee. Watching the quail coming in for breakfast. Heading out to the ranch to ride later. Taking Carole out to see Teddy for the first time since her incident. She has made him a big bag of apples and carrots. I'm sure he will be happy to see her, and she will be happy to see him, lol.

I hope its a good day for everyone.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Sam the Scamp is by my side. Sleepy Suzy is not thrilled by him being in her spot. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I have 2 Butz Choquins. One is a magnum bent brandy and an excellent smoke. Love it with my Urban Cowboy. It's good for an hour + smoke. The other is a 1/4 bent pot. Beautiful pipe, nearly perfect straight grain and very light but has a tendency to smoke hot unless I baby it and go slow.

I'm pleased that you liked it. Bogart is my favorite actor, and I never tire of that movie. I'd also recommend The Big Sleep with Bogie and Bacall. Key Largo is another great Bogie film, and that Robinson fella who looks like me is in it, too.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink.
